Chances at a house before next expansion?

So since many people, myself included cannot get lucky enough to access the only feature of the game gated by a literal lottery your options are what?

• Wait for new servers to open up transfer and hope to win there(then lose and be forced to stay there or pay to transfer back)
• Pray SE adds more wards (highly doubtful)
• Make a shell fc and try for one of the plots there (thus defeating the purpose of there being separation of fc and personal wards but sure)

After more than half a year trying to get a house it just feels like we aren't being respected at all. Apartments are not the same as a house full stop.

They're adding 4 new worlds in NA and opening housing after that so there's about 28k-30k houses between those servers they'll open up after 3-4 months.
After that though they seem to have nothing on the roadmap so you're probably screwed unless they restart the demolition timer or they add another area in 7.1

If SE just did this, and fleshed out the rest of the Ward list, it would at 3600 more houses to each world. I think that's more than enough right now for people who have been waiting for years until they add new residential areas. But truly, instanced is the way to go to ensure EVERYONE has a house.

I know I said it in my post over here but it's actually kind of weird how the Ward list PERFECTLY fits 36 ward numbers, AND they made FC wards 1-18.



Meaning if there were 36 wards in total, the Personal wards would be the other 18. It's like, made me wonder if they are planning to add new wards, but didn't have time/weren't prepared to implement that before they realized more personal wards were needed urgently, which is when they readjusted to 1-10 being FC only. idk. I think they really goofed up.

From the release pattern in the past, it seems there will be two plot release every expansion to accommodate population growth.
Last Shirogane ward expansion happens around 5.3 or 5.4 i think?

I think the wards not being added are a real world restriction due to limited parts and stuff so instead of adding new wards (which wouldn't be a good return on investment since those wards wouldn't attract new players, just be taken up by existing ones. If they do get new hardware or bandwidth for more server space they are just going to use it on new DC/worlds rather than a ward since that has potential to bring in new players aka $$$)

I've been trying for a house for over 3 years, and even with the new lottery system and the new housing area, I STILL can't get a damned house. I can't say if I am for or against instanced housing, but at the very least make sure there is enough for EVERYBODY! Seriously, some of us WANT housing, and would actually make use of a plot, rather than have to resort to apartments. SE, honestly, just increase the number of wards from 36 to 70 or something. The current number of plots, even if on paper is a lot, it is simply nowhere near enough to meet the demand.

Open your Account. Select Homeworldtransfer (once its available again in a few days/weeks). Select either one of the OCE or new EU Worlds. Problem with not getting an House solved.

True, and I have considered it. However, I am in a wonderful FC and I don't want to leave them. If they just increase the number of wards, or worst case, make housing instanced, the problem is solved. Just wish the dev team put more thought and planning into the housing system before committing.
