Thanks for sharing. Next time don't beat an already dead horse.A lot of people spent all that time leading up to it pretending to be shocked and outraged and offended on behalf of the entire RP community writing up thesis's and twitlongers about how it was the worst idea in the world, all just to show up and be seen shuffling to the Party House Anthem song at 3 in the morning on a twitch stream with thousands of other viewers watching at a party so packed, it was too congested for people to even get in.
Were the concerns valid? Oh yes, absolutely! But did they matter? No, they did not.
Next time just skip the wall to wall text posts about you are a lawyer or you know a lawyer and just say you're a fan and you'll be there. Lol.
Onto the next drama to occupy everyone for a few days.
For those who were there, I'm curious. About what percentage of the crowd was Travelers?
For those who play on Balmung, what was the impact of the event outside of the event area? I avoided Balmung last night but had no problem with world visit to other Crystal worlds (same as Tuesday when the "Balmung blockade" was going on). Seems like the impact of travel load is mostly localized to the world instead of the data center.
Balmung has always been the capital, and therefore, people can't get enough of it.
I visited a few servers to see friends on Crystal yesterday, including Balmung, and didn't run into any issues. Though I heard later that people could go to other servers on Crystal but Balmung specifically was congested and couldn't be traveled to. Though I left Balmung around when the event started so I have no idea how bad it got. Getting back to Aether however was a 15 minute process.
i didnt go to the event, but had no impact on areas outside. i moved around just fine. uldah was the usual packed uldah, and limsa was more packed than usual (because they were trying to get into the ward) but i didnt lag or crash. For those who were there, I'm curious. Sure, if you visited on the morning or early afternoon, there were no problems.I visited a few servers to see friends on Crystal yesterday, including Balmung, and didn't run into any issues. But if you attempted to go into balmung after 8p EST, you had up to 2h travel queues. I left balmung at around 2am Central, and tried to return and there was a 30 min wait queue to travel.

I had a lot of fun with the event. I'm glad I went.
