A little curious on how anyone thinks a blockade works when there's no player collision.

Symbolic, I guess. Though I think more people are laughing about it because it's silly than anything else. And only putting themselves at risk of a suspension/warning because they are violating the ToS by doing it, even if it can't work.

That has been a LOT of people's reactions to things like Bozja, Eureka, the housing lottery system, and probably even PotD and HoH. When each of those were new, there were threads about how terrible they are and how the people behind each should be fired. Most of it, I feel at least, was because the people calling for the termination of devs didn't actually understand HOW to play that content.

I mean it’s true and we’ll get the same threads popping up again about criterion dungeons and variant dungeons Im sure it’s just sad and a bit ridiculous to see… like it’s okay to take a step back and just be like “okay im going to play something else til the hype and novelty dies off.”

Some people literally have no reason for existence other than to complain about anything and everything.

The current generation lives on social media. And so everyone provides their commentary on any current event, in order to get their moment of fame.
When most couldn't care less.

It's meaningless. People complain about Bozja, Eureka, housing, and all the other stuff. Yet they are still subbed and playing the game. That should tell you all you need to know about their opinion.

As a new thing, players will use and abuse it. As an RPer myself, I know how bad trolling can be. But there are ways you can combat that. Ignore them. Act as if you don’t see them. Don’t engage them.

The DC travel itself is a good thing. Don’t ask to have it removed because one server is having issues.

So just as expected: DC travel goes in and Balmung has been FLOODED by naked people trolling roleplayers non-stop. They are having literal TROLL Parades with naked people, multi-boxing naked people so that there's 50+ naked people at the main aetheryte in Ul'dah.

This was an ABSOLUTE mistake. Please remove DC travel. It was a mistake, we said it was a mistake, and it is already proving to be a HUGE mistake.

If I can't RP anymore because of trolls SE is doing nothing about from other Data-Centers, I'm going just quit playing: And I'm not the only one. This is ridiculous. Please start banning these people at the very least. Just have a GM sit on Balmung for a while and you can ban a solid 90+ accounts a day I'm sure. This is crazy that they're allowed to just come over here, troll all of the roleplayers, grief us, and nothing is done about it.

If FFXIV had official RP servers then yeah sure, people could get banned from doing so.
But since there are no official RP servers there is nothing that say that they can't do that if they want to.

I avoid Ul'dah on Balmung at all costs. Not because of the RPers, but because of the WoW Tradechat level of vulgarity in /shout at literally all times. It's actually worse in Ul'dah on Balmung than a lot of the servers I have played on in WoW over the years by a fair margin.

Yeah, the GMs would have a lot of work to do if they actually paid any kind of attention to the level of trash that goes on in the Shout chat around the Quicksand. It's a lot of ToS breaking stuff, but the policy is we do nothing unless a report is filed.

The same stuff happened with world visit. In a few weeks they will get bored, and it will just be a normal thing. Right now they are tourists who think Balmung is more nasty than it actually is.
