Seems like all the ongoing conversation has disappeared since the Live Letter.

Personally, I think it will be fun for at least a few months based on what was shared. Looks like a good sized area to explore and it will be interesting to see what flexibility we have in building placement not to mention see how many options we're given for architecture styles.

Hard to predict longevity past the first few months because it would depend on what content updates it gets and how often new rewards get added. Once everything is upgraded and desired rewards purchased, it doesn't seem like something that would be worth continuing.



For those disappointed that time was spent to develop this over helping more players get access to houses/gardening, you may want to add your feedback and comments to this thread or one of the others in the Housing sibforum:

I was excited about it when it was first announced at Fanfest, and housing had nothing to do with it. Having heard very little about it since, including during the recent LL, I'm going to keep my expectations extremely low and hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

I mean I wasn't too excited about it from when they were first talking about it because that style of content isn't something that interests me. Learning more about it just confirmed it will probably be something I interact with a couple times and move on from. Gonna be too busy spamming the criterion dungeons.

How things are put on paper and how they are in final implementation are entirely different. So in this regard, it is skeptical yet hyped.

I'm still very excited for it. I wasn't at all concerned about housing and was just interested in a way to sorta "chill out" while doing something or working on something like you can do with games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, etc. I actually have a friend or two that don't play xiv often but are very interested in playing more when this comes out, simply because that's the type of game they like.

It's the sort of content I typically enjoy as a side activity in a game such as this. I'm concerned that it has been announced as a feature for quite some time yet we've not seen anything in the way of clear footage.

I feel like hype might have died down because of...., well, certain things going on. Between DC travel going down and now this billboard stuff, people's attention has super shifted.

I thnk once we get close to 6.2 we'll see more excitement drumming up tho!

I am holding onto slight hope that this isn't content that is laid to dust once it's out. Especially with it being so new, but I'm not going to bury it before it dies.

Excited? No. I'll certainly visit at least once but nothing presented so far seems all that engaging. My expectation is that it will be abandoned content by the time 7.0 rolls around.

For extra "how could they make this any worse?" points I'm going to guess it'll be gated by EW completion or perhaps access to Radz-al-Han.
