The lack of Pride seasonal events is super disrespectful to the trans community

Ahh, another one of these thread I should avoid them really, but anyway…

Would a PRIDE event have been cool? Yep. Would I like to see more LGBTQ+ characters in the game, particularly ones who are involved in the main story? You bet! Would I like to see trans representation in particular, given how transphobic hate has been on the rise in so many places? 100%. Is it the most important thing they need to add into the game? No, but we are a minority of fans on a forum where I have seen people demand the changing of a tooltip colour. I do not think making it known that people would like some diversity is the selfish request some make it out to be.

no, why do people keep wanting to bring IRL stuff into the game is beyond me ,
even more, why do ppl feel the NEED to say "hey my sexuality is this this and that" and then want an event about it,

Having pride events would require they recognise other things that have nothing to do with in game things. Like x history month. These recognition months are just like Christmas or Easter now. Spend spend spend on our virtuious products! We support you, for thirty days at least! In Eorzia it dosen't matter what your color, sex or preferance is. Except for the garleans who seem to be based very much on a certain group of people I don't think I see that much racism eaither. Duskwight elezen being almost the sole exception. A lot of FC's hold their own events. I have never seen one say if your gay or whatever you can't join, as more people are concerned if you can get passed thunder king then who your so sitting on the couch by you is.

OP:

There are a number of countries where such events in a video game are illegal. Period. This is not the case for the North American servers to which your avatar belongs.

There is absolutely nothing stopping the OP from creating their own Pride event. There are any number of FCs out there that do hold such events, year after year.

Don't put something on Square Enix which you aren't personally willing to do yourself.

If you had worded this to "we need an in game pride collection" I would support you, because it would actually be nice to have in game as an LGBT person myself.

I think it could be a permanent addition to the game all year long, but the post you made just makes all the ugliness in the community come out. I think you could have tried better.
