I think it would be as easy as negating all EXP gained from a mob/group of mobs which incurred enmity from a player who's level was 10+ beyond the highest level player in the group. Also, ridding the ability to attack a claimed mob - I'm still unsure why this is a game mechanic. What purpose does it serve to fulfill?

A.) PL'ing does not ruin the game. If you don't like being PL'd, don't take part. I wouldn't encourage someone to level all classes/jobs via PL, but if you've already leveled 4+ classes to 50, without PL, and are tired of the grind, being PL'd can be quite welcome. Also, if you don't like PL, don't do it.

B.) Level sync would be a great addition for people who like to play with their friends but may not be able to because of level gaps. It's not just for people who are bored and having nothing else to do. I would love to be able to level sync and xp with my RL friends that only have classes that are lower level than mine. Also, if you don't like level sync, don't do it.

C.) A handy search feature has finally been added to the game to help people put together parties, and find people in their level range more easily, without having to /shout in Ul'dah. /search online 31-36, for example. ( ~_ø)b

Today you can't level a low level character in FF11 - even with Level Sync. That game is in end-game mode exclusively - and sorry to say - this one is very close to it already.

I would love this feature a lot. I'm relatively new and started playing again last Friday. I'm a level 33 Gladiator but up until now I've had to entirely solo. It seems impossible to find people my level to either do leves or grind with. Occasionally I'll find another person to do a Behest with, but that's about the extent of my partying done up until now.

For the more difficult quests (eg.Paladin unlock quest) I've had to ask random level 50s to run me through after wasting 2-3 hours of my life shouting in Ul'dah for people to join me. I've tried the search function too, but there seems to be no way of knowing if someone is available/wants to party outside of the fact that they are AFK/Online.

umm it worked like a champ in ffxi man, it brought the game back from the dead for many players, in servers that had so few to party with in your level range it actually made leveling without a PL possible.

Party Sync WILL solve the PL problem, I fully support this addition which should have been added from the get go!

    UNACCEPTABLE.
So...you want the MAJORITY to stop playing the game the way THEY enjoy so YOU can play the game the way YOU enjoy?

    Good luck with that!

You, my friend have hit the nail on the head of the issue that has plagued this player base from the very beginning.

It still breaks down to this, which we disscussed 13928091832098123 times. There are those players that loved the OLD HARDCORE version of FFXI and all the fond memories of that time they had, thus they want to make this game just as tedious.....

    Old schoolers vs new schoolers.

the differnce is that new schoolers are willing to co-exist, old-schoolers are not.

Wait, wait. You're severely confused if you think the act of being powerleveled is enjoyable. So is anyone else who thinks standing in one spot and 'progressing' while another actually plays the game for you. You're absolutely right I want people to stop doing it - and that wish has absolutely nothing to do with selfish desire. It is, in fact, the exact opposite.
