SGE was designed to be the "dpsing healer" but sadly failed at it.

So dev team answer for people asking for more dps option was SGE with its Kardia mechanic, providing a heal each time you execute a dps spell.

But realistically, SGE play the same as every healer.
- Dosis spam
- 30s refresh DoT
- 1 Aoe
- Plegma, which acutally is Assize on GCD

That's it.

Toxicon is your Ruin II equivalent with a gauge you don't want to build because it makes you loose DPS.
Pneuma is a healing action first, kinda like macrocosm.

So...

I'm asking dev team what are they going to do with SGE.
Its designed to be something it's not.

I want to see more Eucrasia and dps option.
It's supposed to be the offensive healer (from their point of view of course).

Dosis = Glare = Malefic = Broil
E.Dosis = Dia = Combust = Biolysis
Dykrasia = Holy = Gravity = Art of War

Then each have their own damaging ressource with differencies (these aren't exactly classed as pure equivalent)

Phlegma - Assize - Earthly Star - Energy Drain
Pneuma - Afflatus Misery - Macrocomos
Toxicon - Lord of Crown - Ruin II

SGE doesn't have more damaging option than the others.

They should have designed a caster and then tacked on heals to make it a healer. Sorta like how gunbreaker was gonna be a melee DPS and was reworked into a tank (supposedly)

It’s a genius move. Scholar without the horrible fairy ai and ghosting. A thing they changed for the worse from the perfect ai we had in stormblood, so we gonna love the Job even more after the trainwreck that was the shadowbringer fairy .

As a SCH you DPS while your fairy heals. As a SGE you DPS while an ability heals.

It is the exact same thing. How are people surprised by that? lol And that concept was apparent before SGE was even released.

I hated SGE for they are an obtuse refusal from dev's side to acknowledge the way the encounter designed since beginning of time which only slightly, if not never changed at all until now. It's not a 'new' healer. It's a SCH who learned how to Dissipate and completely Embrace at will.

sch clunky fairy delays while kardia is much faster and sage do has some slight dif things like 2 aoes though 1 is 90 sec 2 charge cd. sages stuff in migi is instant vs pre casting sch. sage aint lock or punish out of their skills like clunky sch. sages spells are prettier as ast and whms while sch is ugly and books as a weapon is ugh. sage has 2 shields that does burst healing if stacks are left pani and hami .

Lastly this is going back to old ast being called a copy better whm. sages have way eaiser time to manage resources to me and more mp forgiving than sch and even better cool down on their skills compared to sch

Whm and Sch is old ofc even their copy counter parts while having similar play maybe overall better. Poor sage getting the old noct ast hate by sch lol

Look at iphones they make so many and they all do so much of the same thing with lil diffrence like maybe better camera pictures thus is life. Finally as a meme some boss fights whether casual savage ex ultimates may have copy and paste mechanics from old content with very minor changes to those mecs thus the healer role.
