That has been my experience, yes. I have an alt in Crystal, but haven't really interacted with people there to actually see how Americans are.

But yeah, it's not just Zodiark people; it happens in Light on occasion. Specifically toward Roegadyn (not just to myself, it actually happened more toward female Roegadyn than toward me when I personally was a Roegadyn) and Hrothgar.

And I say "Light", because it happened in the OF's a few times when doing Savage with randos.

Basically in my old FC I had a Femroe who was organizing an event with Light Femroes via Discord. They were to meet outside our FC house, though the event wouldn't take place only indoors. So, this being that mansion by the Mist's beach, they moved the event there at some point, with our FC helping out and engaging. So the whole beach was full of Femroes, and out of nowhere comes this random Miqo'te, sees a beach full of Femroes and starts verbally harassing them, calling them names, saying crap about their sexuality and the preferences of their players... The guy only stopped when one of them told him to kindly remove himself before she laid the law on him. Except, on less friendlier terms. When asked about the guy, their reaction was just "It's unfortunate, but we're used to it".

So yeah :T there's that.

I have heard stories from Ultros friends how in Limsa there used to be a miqo'te who would hurl racist slurs at people that sat on his spot. Not sure if he ever got dealt with.

Also on Zodiark and met no racists or seen slurs being thrown from people. Lets not label a server as racist or unfriendly when it's a tiny few that are dicks (ykno like on every server).
I've hopped into several communities and the only time salt becomes a thing is from raiding or interpersonal drama. Frankly idk how people manage to find so many racists to claim that blatant racism is "going around". I am more inclined to think they are exaggerating tbh. One/two instance of meeting a jerk in game does not a racist/unfriendly server make.

Seen zero of this Roe racism personally, not to say it doesn't happen, and we have had one playing with us for a long time. He has no racist experiences from playing Roe. Anyone stupid enough to belittle based on in game race deserves a report and swift ban. Kindly don't label zodiark or the entire Light DC as racist.. just wow.

Honestly I just personally thought it happened on every data center. Like, there's a Discord literally called "FF14 Tall Races" where unless you're Au Ra, Viera, Hrothgar, Roegadyn or Elezen, you can't go in. So I assumed it'd be general.

Now it's great you haven't had that experience as a Roe yourself, but that has been my experience and that of some of my friends. I'm not saying Zodiark is bad. Nor that Light itself is. It's not a "racist data center" specifically, but I have seen and been a target of slurs and active discrimination. Not just name-calling.

It's why I say the community isn't at all as nice as people think it is. Because it sure as hell hasn't been as far as I could see. When I was Miqo'te or Au Ra, didn't see any comment. Nor when I was Highlander for a whole year. But when I was Roegadyn and now Hrothgar, yeah, there's venom being spat and without filter.

Whether this is on Light, or I've just been unlucky, I couldn't tell you. All I can say is what I've experienced.
