So why force Yoshida himself to do something he won't enjoy and that he isn't the target audience for when they have at least two people who clearly ARE the target audience?

Just seems like a really stupid ask.
Just because they have enough people on the team that are content with playing healers for testing purposes does not mean that those people necessarily have a say in the design of those jobs, nor does it mean that those people enjoy playing healers. If none of the people who actively work on job design are the people who play healers for playtesting, naturally there's going to be an issue.

Disregarding the stereotyping you're doing, which may or may not apply to the ffxiv team and may or may not be borderline racist...

Still doesn't explain any benefit from Yoshida himself doing it. He's not the one who works on those... and he's not the type of personality who prefers healers. What we want are people on the dev team who have that personality type. Specifically on the live balance, or whatever FFXIV's dev team's subunit who handles game balance is called, team.

Yoshida isn't the only person on the team. And he doesn't just... stand there dictating balance changes to the team. I guarantee you that's not the way it works. They have a team who handles this who uses data and feedback and comes up with changes, then gets them implemented, then the playtesters test them.

As someone who generally likes healing in games... the last thing I want is for someone who isn't a healer to be forced into playing healer and then changing healing to match what would be fun for them as a non-healer. That is a recipe for disaster.

Who (as in which kind of player) do you think majority of healer changes/adjustments are made for?

To be clear - I'm not suggesting nothing should change. I'm just suggesting that forcing Yoshida to play healer won't help the way you think it will. It is a stupid idea that won't resolve the problem you have. There are two possible outcomes: nothing changes because he just assumes he's the wrong personality type for it and does nothing... or he gets miserable and starts making stupid changes that don't help anything because he's the wrong personality type for it.

You'd be better off asking for them to eat a watermelon tomorrow. It has the same likelihood of fixing healers as forcing Yoshida to play a healer.

You act like Yoshida himself is one of the job designers, how is he personally going to order the job design team to make poor decisions if he’s forced to spend a few months in our shoes? Do you think he personally ordered the removal of kaiten or changing trick? Hell, if it was up to him we’d still have enochian on blm.

Except, that is what has happened since the start of Stormblood up until now. All of the healer jobs have been nerfed in their complexity to appeal to people who don't play the job. Sage is just a soft reboot of SCH that is somehow just as limited in complexity as actual SCH.
