Oh please. Every game can feel like it is the worst game in the world when you play it to it's conclusion and the only thing left is grinding for months.

To each their own. If you're not having fun with games you play, you should probably take a break from them or try out a different game.

Well, what was the point of your original post to mine? Was it really about my interests and feelings towards the game, or what you just assumed was someone else entirely?

Well you're not entirely wrong. I like to talk to myself in an echo chamber sometimes just to assure myself that something isn't amiss with things. FFXIV is a game with good parts and bad parts to it, and it's an okay RPG for the most part. I guess you could say after seeing where they took the class design I sort of wish they went a slightly different direction.

Yoshi P. seems like he wanted to recreate the same kind of really focused trinity based class specializations in FFXIV, so he ended up remaking the same exact thing that was already done before but without having ways to flex outside of the roles the classes are focused into. So we ended up with healers that have two button rotations because they were built to specifically be a firehose healer with either a shield flavor or a pure healer flavor, and the other jobs are pretty similar in their own ways.

I think FF14 is an awesome game and I am glad I came over to it. But you can love something and still recognize that there are serious issues with the thing you love. Doesn't invalidate your love for the game nor does it invalidate how much these issues bother you. Hell, it probably bothers you because you love the game so much.
