People are so mad because addon's aren't hand holding them anymore and now they will cry about everything including using YT for look up to guides.

Grow up maybe you never were skilled at all without your 10 plugins on your screen telling how to play the game, and yes because many of you have been even ruining PVP with their silence/stun as soon someone press LB.

I play on PS4, if any of you think they're going to ban people for using Discord then you are, and I won't sugarcoat this, a grade A idiot who probably has problems understanding stack markers. Mainly because using Discord doesn't give you a big advantage, it just helps you coordinate better, it won't help you actually do the mechanics right or get your rotation down. Stating it for the sake of it because I know SOMEBODY in this thread has probably brought up Discord being illegal.

Stop trying to revise history. He said no plugins and mods. He never said "Just dont harass people with them." He more roughly said, "We cant detect them, so if you harass someone with them we will find out." There was never any approval for using them. And blatantly streaming with them always came with this inherent risk. There is no grey area. There never was a grey area, just a general lack of proper enforcement. But something not being policed over well isn't approval either. And stop with the facetious nonsense like "B-but is Discord a third party tool?" Anyone with some common sense knows what they're referring to.

It doesn't give you a big advantage, but helps your coordinate better, right. Like buff timers. There is no mod that does mechanics for you. Anyone using a bot to do a rotation is cheating. The only reason people bring up discord is because Yoshi did.

It's ALSO something that you could easily run on a laptop, tablet, or phone right next to you. It's not like console players are somehow locked from using Discord.

It also ISN'T a third party tool since if doesn't interact with the game or its files at all.

I realize that these people would still find something to be dumb about, but a simple and easy "A third party tool is something that interacts with the game or its files." would clean out these disingenuous people bringing up ridiculous things like web browsers and Discord.

This is a dangerous practice. If they publish a list of tools that can be used safely, someone maliciously could add to that tools things that does the functions of the banned tools. Also, it can cause a conflict with people who wants others that are not included. Like "why you allow GShade, but not ACT". And a lot of people will start spam the tools they want to be ''authorized".

So we need a list of what is okay.

Especially when it comes to addons to help those with disabilities play.

In other words, another case of the "We can't be bothered to make them work with the game. Even though they do work."

It's always an excuse with them.

I would say its more like if they update the client, which is what they are developing and intend for people to use, and it then breaks one of your add-ons that they have no control over or interaction with it is not their fault. SE is only working on the client and making sure it runs on supported platforms, they are not going to run around checking every add-on available that someone might be using to make sure they all work with every update.

They're never going to do this for the same reason why they won't specify what '' suggestive content '' or whatever they said is in the Adventure Plates.
Because they want to have room to act at will if they decide to do so.
This is just how ToS works not just in games but in general it's usually vague and makes very broad strokes but are very rarely actually enforced to the most extreme.

Neither is Youtube or The Balance guides or whatever.
People who bring this up think they're being clever but they're really not they're just taking the most ludicrously uncharitable and extreme interpretation of what Yoshida said.
There is a huge different between a third party tool like ACT that directly interacts with the game and Discord, it shouldn't have to be explained to people but apparently it does when people are just desperate to be mad at the devs for something.

Especially when it comes to addons to help those with disabilities play.

The problem with this is that addons and other potential help for disabilities can result in blatant cheating.
The truth is that you can't be inclusive towards just disabilities as a whole.
A lot of addons that would help people who are disabled would also be used for cheating by people who aren't disabled.
You VERY quickly run into completely comprimising the game altogether.
