    Personal FFXI moments:
    • Finishing Apoc Nigh
    • Beating Maat with RDM after 13 tries (back when it was TOUGH)
    • Unlocking SMN job and then getting all avatars and Fenrir
    • Bahamut Fight
    • Getting to Sky/Sea the first time
    • Completing a Set of AF and then AF2
    • Ark Angel battle
    • Approaching new PS2 players and /emote stealing their gear and gil.. and my friend successfully convincing them to strip down to their underwear to protect their stuff from thieves...
    • After what seemed like a million tries,FINALLY getting the Yin Yang Robe / Joyeuse / Emperor Hairpin / Crimson Cuisses / etc, etc..

So many great moments in that game.

The destruction of Home in FFX was really sad. Wakka's comment afterwards made me hate him with a burning passion for the rest of the game.
    The comment:

    (Insensitive little...)

    Aldo and Verena's scene in Delkfutt Tower during ROTZ in FFXI. ;_;

    Obligatory "Zack's final battle" nod.

FFX-2's opening, though the "power" from that scene came from the impact my head had against the wall.

FFX - I was entraced the whole game. Fantasy with a touch of Futuristic technology. The storyline was slightly predictable, but the score/graphics/characters/battle system was flawless and was more than enough to look past it in my opinion. Plus i really dig the whole focus on summoning which is what the whole game revolves around.

One moment that stood out for me was in FFX: Having to kill your own summons that were earnt / spent countless hours leveling was suprisingly tough (emotionally). For me in exagerrative perspective, it was kind of like killing my own pet.

I'll always think of FFVII and FFX (and to a slightly lesser extent, FFVIII) as a "Memorable & Powerful Moment" the day I hit "New Game".

Climbing Kefka's Tower, a monument of chaotic post-apocalypse rubble that's so massive it takes 3 groups to explore.

Then you reach the top and fight a Tower. Of gods. With Kefka laughing at you the whole climb.

Then you reach up into the clouds and down comes Kefka. With an entire Orchestra screaming his name.

    Best.

    Boss.

    Ever.

He was pretty impressive. Even the BGM was fitting.

Im not sure if it was mentioned.. to me the best moments of a game were in FF8 even more powerful than 7.. people who say 8 sucked do not look deeply into the story and the many many different ways you can believe/interpret this game... such as the theory of Squall dying early in the game and the rest is all a dream ( http://squallsdead.com/ or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svSCg...eature=related ) and the Rinoa is Ultemecia Theory.. which was cleared up ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YggjyBbFfvY ) which is the beauty of this game... it leaves you THINKING of things other games have not... there are more theories out there but yeah.. this is why FF8 remains my favorite and still gives me those OMGWTF moments

My most exciting moments were pretty much the whole story from beginning to the end of FFT.

Each and every chapter had twists and plot changes and a lot of "oh fuck" moments.

Hate SE for what they did with the Tactics franchise...the Handheld sequels suck balls.

Whaa? Handheld sequels are great! I have more hours on FFTA2 than any other FF title.

I'm putting my vote in for the big moments of FFX. The reveal of Yuna's fate and Tidus's reality. Wonderfully written and executed.

I seriously considered writing "All of FFVIII" in my list, but I decided to stick to the strongest moments that stuck out to me, and of them in that game, it was the ending when Squall was lost. I identified a lot with him, and in that moment, I felt as lost as he was.

But I do personally consider FFVIII to have the strongest story of a stand alone title with many memorable scenes such as the dance, the ice shard, Squall saving Rinoa... three times I think (side of Balamb garden, in space, and from being put in stasis), and the entire OP and Ending.
