New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

I mean, yeah. Housing problems and Ultimate glitches were bugs and unexpected issues after all, supposedly, on their part. At least, on the game side. They're both game-breaking issues.

The hrothgar hairstyles aren't a bug, and are that way by (bad) design. From their point of view, it's working as intended.

Still waiting on them to make a statement about them regardless, though. It's still a widely known problem.

But really it only shows how ridiculous the situation is. I get it, it's a glitch. We've had more stuff that was imbalanced and didn't work as expected in the gameplay this patch. They didn't get as much ceremony. PvP is played by a lot more people than Ultimate, and WHMs could reset their cure stacks. You didn't see them act shocked like old women at a church upon seeing a teenager blaspheme and write something about it as hard as the Ultimate glitch that harmed no one.

We asked for transparency and communication, we've had none that was satisfactory. Barely even an acknowledgement that didn't amount to a handwave. People are still upset and fear future updates. But no, let's stop the world because 0.1% of Dragoons had a fart and it triggered Riddle of Wind.

it has now been just under 23 days since your post regurgitating previously stated excuses for Hrothgar hairstyles, and 34 days since their disastrous reveal to the community. we have had five official posts regarding housing, one regarding player behavior in PvP, one special statement regarding needing to fix the super duper serious danger of Dragoons getting a case of the zoomies in a single fight that the smallest sliver of the community will encounter, and an announcement for the winners of the Weapon Design Contest in the intermediary. I am once again asking when can we expect to see the community be addressed in an official capacity regarding these hairstyles? our feedback has been given, our suggestions recommended, and our request for both an official statement as to what is being done regarding hairstyles as well as further transparency regarding this issue have been made. yes, we get it, whoever programmed the array values for Housing auctions really dropped the ball, and that folks are working tirelessly for those 1800 plots per server, but we have had naught to do but beat this dead horse further to a pulp. the modding community has given us more information regarding this issue than we have gotten in official statements which frequently boil down to "this is really difficult, please look forward to it", and we are left questioning promises made as well as the potential future of this player race.

I heard a rumour that a lot of the devs had been moved to work on FF16. But now FF16 is almost complete, so maybe after this game will be finished Yoshi P will be able to take back the devs to FF14 and the problems we have might get more attention and even be resolved. Coming from a AAA title, the programmers and artists should be able to tackle our issue. I know this might be high on Hopeium but I want to have some good news.

this seems to be less of a matter of "how do we make this work" and more of a "we don't care to make this work" situation. we've seen how amateurs and fans have done more in their free time than three years of paying SE our subs. we've yet to hear anything from SE, whether here or through Lodestone except the same excuses we have been given in the past - "it's hard". they had Yoshida doing Crystalline Conflict on his internal account on the JP server in the past 24 hours, as well as giving interviews to get hype going for their Uniqlo shirt collab, the Nier mobile game collab, and getting that XVI hype train a chugging along in the past week or so. I fully expect radio silence until 6.2 when they drop the Viera 6.1 style(s) on us, where we once again hear how hard it is, they're super duper sorry, and will do better... before we are left in the cold for another couple of years.

NGL, starting to lose hope. I know it hasn't been that long since the patch(es), and I told myself I'd be content with the tamamo headband until the fix, but wow I hate not being able to wear earrings, head gear (though limited, I do have some faves), and the fact that my 'ears' bounce around like their made of jello. I'm half tempted to fanta until it's fixed, but another part of me says to dig in my heels and wait it out.

I've wanted to make a 9S alt for awhile so maybe I should just do it at this point.

I wish he never changed that outlook in the first place with our promised Racially unique hairstyles and then changing his mind without telling anyone about in the first place
