In a game with E8S why is SE banning people with suggestive Adventurer Plates?

I do get it though, at the end of the day the core issue is that people ruin a fun thing. Though, for the most part, devs ignore them so I doubt we will get a sweeping change of NPCs covering up and dialogue changes.

This is not a thing. The game can not have 18+ nonsense due to their target sales audience and game ratings.

Your examples are also off; you can buy suggestive/revealing clothing here and now all day long, but it doesn’t mean you can or should wear them in a sexually suggestive manner in an inappropriate place. Nobody would blink an eye of you taking tasteful pictures at the beach in your bikini. Or a 2b Cosplay. Or whatever.

…until you start positioning the camera under your skirt, down your blouse or holding an object in a suggestive manner…

Yeah, they can. They don't have to call it an NSFW filter. You have said since the game is not an 18, they cannot have restrictions on certain glamour or give people the option not to see certain conditions on glamour. That's like saying we shouldn't give people the profanity filter, or they shouldn't put such types of glamour in the game because it shows too much skin. There are plenty of ways to do this that wouldn't affect the overall user experience for people.

What you have is a system designed to be easily exploitable, and people will do so whether you like it or not. I could say that the fact that they put a stripper pole in the game or a brothel in one expansion that the game shouldn't be in a 16+ category. We could also say that since people erotically roleplay, they should be banned for such things since they are abusing the in-game chat function that was not intended. There are a million ways you could say this game does not meet the requirements of a 16+. It just takes imagination.

Saying that since people can buy things together, they shouldn't use them doesn't matter because they will.

How about you live in reality for five and deal with the situation at hand instead of pushing head cannon and pretending you know the law or the internal thoughts of the dev team.

You are just participating in the form of low grade thought designed to push an unproportionate response.

For example, a reasonable step in the right direction would be privacy settings that would encompass things such as cultural beliefs, therefore if a glamour might be seen as degenerate it won't allow you to access their card or see it in PVP.

How about you provide more options to the player to protect themselves rather than lowering the quality of service to everyone.

The thing that gets me are the dozens of brothels and casinos advertised every day and the people who plague shout chat with talk of "traps", "futa", "drinking piss" and other degenerate chatter and these same people will be there the next day and the day after that. They can ban lewdity all they want but why the Hell aren't they cleaning up the rest of the behavior in the game? It's not like partyfinders, fellowships and shout chat are some hidden private area.

And yes I have reported several of these people. They've been at it for literal years. And we saw how people bitched and moaned about their spammy whore house adverts getting taken down finally.

Do I think it is childish to have suggestive Adventurer Plates? Yes.

Should they be warned? Yes.

Should they be harshly banned (3-20 days)? No.

I don't think there is a good reason to be banning people for a suggestive adventurer plate that doesn't even show any nudity. Square Enix knows EXACTLY what they're doing when they added in subligars, swimwear, Coeurl briefs, 2B thighs and the like.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too. So many facets of this game are built to facilitate suggestive and 18+ activities. They know their thirsty audience and they want to monetize them. But the moment they go a bit public? That's a ban.

Slapping them with a 20-day ban is way too extreme for something that 99% of adults would not be offended by, minus an eye-roll. You get a lower ban duration for harassing someone in chat and using racial profanity.

Most of the suggestive poses so far are tamer than whatever music video Nicki Minaj or Cardi B made in the past ten years. This is such a disproportionate punishment for something most adults aren't bothered by.

I'll be honest, I don't see anything wrong with that image. It's slightly suggestive, but nothing extreme or overly lewd. It actually reminds me of some paintings a gal around where I live does -- she's very accomplished as an artist.

I think that personally if the portraits match what square enix puts into the game itself, there should be nothing wrong with it.
