Literally every savage/extreme encounter is FARRR beyond the complexity we have now. You've clearly never touched them when relevant.what complexity? do you really believe in stormblood there was any complexity? there was no complexity or naunce in the stormblood aggro system, same as now, lmfao. did you have difficulties or something? because i didn't, same as now. The only difference between now and then is the removal of one system, that simply didn't make any difference, tanks are still blue dps and always been. tanks in this game never really tanked.
but that's a fundamental design problem, it will ever be solved? doesn't seem like it, tanks will still be blue dps, healers will be green dps, and dps will still be red dps, it has been that way since the start of the game. a few more buttons to press or whatever you think fits your fancy won't solve a problem that has been there since the beginning.

oh, we are assuming now? perfect, nothing much to say really, if you really thing we had some WoW cataclysm level of complexity in stormblood and backwards, feel free to keep believing it, i won't stop you. the reality is that from stormblood onwards, all was already quite homogenized and simple.
of course things haven't improved, never claimed otherwise, but it weren't any better or special or cool in the past, if you want to believe so, feel free of course.
It was an extra depth to the gameplay where DPS did have to worry about threat, and use things like quelling strikes to prevent stealing threat during openers, and tanks did need to tank stance properly and use emnity generation skills properly. So I would say it did add an additional complexity vs is not being there. How would it not add complexity? This is the only MMO I have played where threat management doesn't even matter at all, and it used to not be that way. The only reason we have blue dps and green dps is because the RPers didn't think it was fair that they had to learn to play to get there glamour pieces.what complexity? do you really believe in stormblood there was any complexity? there was no complexity or naunce in the stormblood aggro system, same as now, lmfao. did you have difficulties or something? because i didn't, same as now. This post is strawmanning .

Stop assuming that just because someone criticizes that the game lacks content, they only stick to one type of content and don't do anything else.
Stop assuming that just because someone criticizes that the game lacks content, they want tedious dailies and weeklies to artificially inflate the game time.
Stop assuming that just because someone criticizes job design, they want everything to be Heavensward levels of clunkiness.
Why are some people so quick to assume that anyone who criticizes the game fits some X stereotype? You must really lack imagination if you can't believe someone can think that the game lacks content even when they play at a casual pace and try out all kinds of different content. You must really lack imagination if you can't believe someone can think that jobs like SMN have become braindead without being an elitist tryhard. You must really lack imagination if you can't believe someone that wishes there is more to do in the game also does not want grinds that serve no purpose.
Here is the reason why these people strawman those who criticize the game: because it's far easier to dismiss criticisms when you just assume that the problem lies with the individual and not the game.
I would suggest you copy and paste this posy on the WoW forums as well. Cause They do it as well. Every person loyal to their game of choice does it; FFXIV, WoW, Swtor, GW. Nothing new here.
Ah yes, the good old "Others do it too, so I can lower my standards as well" trope.

Aww friggin' shweet Lois. It's another Skiros thread!

The menacing aura of every Lalafell.
Savage sure, but what EX trial besides Shinryu was more complex than what we have now? I've played since Heavensward and got all the dog mounts when their EX trials were relevant in SB and Shinyru and maybe Suzaku were the only ones that I felt were at all complex. And Suzaku was about as complex as the 3 current EX trials. As much as I adore the SB EX trials, most of them really aren't that deep. (and I know people struggle with meteors in Tsukuyomi but it's not hard to stand on a marker on the small sliver of the moon, also not hard to know to go in/out left/right) Susano, Lakshmi, Byakko and Seiryu were extremely simple.
