I'm seeing a distinct lack of fur. I'm pretty sure someone even photoshopped a Moonkeeper Miqo'tes face onto it at some point months back.



Until we actually see some concept art of the female Hrothgar, this is really all we can criticise right now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didnt one of the male Hrothgars concept art get scrapped and it had a note beside it from a dev saying 'looks too much like Miqo'te' ?

If so, then it's clearly something they would want to avoid for both genders.

I hope the female hrothy are not hunchbacks and can be made to look cute same as every other female in this game. I don't want the disaster that is male hrothgar hair to also carry over to females. I was so sad when SHB revealed it was male only so I am hyped for the female launch, prolly next expansion.

In my knowledge, female character models are treated better than the males, the fiasco that the headgear will probably be accounted for when making them. Hunch is a no go, even in other MMOs that have hunched races, the females have a straight back (except Char, but they are made to be more animalistic than human).
If I was to bet on what we would get it would probably be the female Highlander body (lengthened a little bit) with a more Hrothgar-ish face (normal human neck and scalp with an extruded muzzle, probably a shorter muzzle than the male counterpart). What I wish for would be an Amazonian warrior body with an FFXIV iteration of a Khajiit face.

I keep thinking about it.....but Im just gonna wait till I finally see something.
Im both excited for my Dream Character, but Prepared to be Disappointed.
I Love the Male Hrothgar despite its limitations, I pray I can love the Females the same....many conversations have me bracing at the idea they will get lazy and make Miqote 2.0 and destroy the point of Hrothgar at its Core.

If Im surprised and I love how they look...no hesitation, Im rushing to buy that Potion

maybe some of you wanna punsh me soon but i have some toughts, mostly even independent the race...

Hats - why have all races with ears to wear hats??? where its written that everyone have to wear a hat??

Shoes - same here with all races who have non human feets... why should they wear shoes at all? the feet is build to be used without shoes and even is better for most underground. A shoe would just limit it...
So simple do it very easy... all gear already existing have a marker which job it can be used for... Just build 3 different types of feetprotection in cloth, leather and plate, like the catrace in ArcheAgeUnchained have, that style... And whatever the real shoe (of the exisitng ones) is you get in the game, it will be shown as 1 of the 3 choices depending of your job. It works like a inbuilt projection, finished the case. And why would i do so? because the race just do it that way... and it would avoid a lot of work to create a new design for every single existing shoe... And later, in new content, they can create shoes right for the animal races that it simple fits. Because i would like more animal like legs/feets on the Vieras (watch FFXII Videos of Fran) too.


There are some good ideas about the female Hrothgar outside i would really agree too but i am afraid SE will not be consequent enough to pull it through...

SE is wondering why there are so many mods outside adressing these issues already. And i am asking then: If modders can do the job, and that in really good quality, why not SE ??
I started modding with FarmingSimulator 2007 or 2009. And it was allways the modders pushing the limits of the game while the producer GIANTS allways said: no, thats not possible... and 3 month later it was possible because a modder did so...
Feels little bit alike here with FF14 too.

And yeah, if the design of the race would be the right for my eye, i would use a Fanta again...

All for female Hrothgar for the ppl that want them. However part of me nags that the end result will be something that looks like Clawroline from the new Kirby game... XD
