More Interesting Dancer Weapons PLEASE!

Yes!! got some nice ideas in the reply, ribbons, hand fan, or a floating weapon in a half moon shape for example, similar to the current sage one, make it bigger, floating and circling around the character...that would be so much cooler.

I saw some tank weapons are really creative and cool, please do the same with dancers weapon too.

It would be unusual for them to design a weapon that wasn't held in the same way all the others for that job are, such as a floating set of weapons when the rest are held in hand. Since we have a boss in the new 24 person raid that uses fans in a similar fashion to DNC I don't see why they couldn't model a weapon that way, it's really surprising they haven't yet unless they are thinking of a introducing a new job at some point that does use fans as a weapon.

Except WHM can't have 1 handed and shield after a certain point(outside of very limited situations). PLD is built to have both, and the stats on either one is lower than what it would be if it was just the shield or sword. No other class is built to have those types of scenarios. It would be interesting, but I doubt they would go back to the drawing board to add the secondary weapon to other jobs.

WHM and BLM having one handed weapons and a shield is from ARR when I think they had a lot of ideas about how the class and job system might work but ultimately ended up with just a linear path. I suspect they might have had an idea about numerous jobs stemming off of one base class, but after ACN turned out to be a disaster splitting it between SMN and SCH they decided not to mess with it.
