Don't get me wrong I respect you guys and I haven't given up the fight either. You should continue but always keep in mind you guys don't deserve this shit so don't blame yourself when the frustration becomes too much to handle. That's all I wanted to say.

I like how the whole thing was taken out of context but the "thread full of healers" are using it to full their drama.
I do think healers need changes but lmao at you guys using this as "proof".
I would be very curious to hear in which context telling your players to "fuck off and go play the one piece of content you release once in 2 years if they don't like being reduced to pressing a single button hundreds of times" is ok.
Ah yes, they would still press that single button hundreds of times in that content too, btw.
The question asked was litterally "why don't healers have a more engaging feeling in content like dungeons n raids?" and it was basically responded with "well we want healers to be friendly to new people." OK cool no one argued that. Most healers just want to have a more meaningful contribution instead of a 1 button rotation a dot and using a ogcd for the sake of using something not that single cast. Then they said "if u want something to heal go do ultimate".

tbf if you're coming from WoW (classic at least) lots of players are used to one button rotations (hunters, warlocks, etc), anything more engaging than that is oppressive in it's complexity for some.
(i should note that that is a joke, nobody should ahve to deal with that in any game)

It is proof. Proof that they don't listen like they say they do.
The entire question was here:
As written by @Recon1o6Healers are feeling increasingly irrelevant and boring due to the lack of damage to heal and lack of damage options to use, and this has gotten worse in endwalker.
Are there any plans to increasing the amount of healing required in all content and address the lack of damage options healers have except glare/broil/malefic/dosis which has been a major complaint since shadowbringers?
Many healer veterans feel alienated by the current direction of healing taken since shadowbringers and have quit the role. Sage, despite being a new healer does not address these issues as it still has the same 1 basic spell and 1 damage over time and almost nothing to heal.
There has been a lot of frustration in endwalker over healer concerns in shadowbringers not being addressed in endwalker.
Incoming damage does not match the strength of healing power and the lack of anything to do except press glare/broil/malefic/dosis makes them very boring to play.
-Asphodelos first circle (normal) have been solo cleared by warrior, paladin and as of today gunbreaker
-Aspholedelos first circle (savage) has also been cleared with a team of 8 warriors and 8 gunbreakers with no healer
-Both extreme trials have been cleared without healers.
-Dungeons are increasingly being farmed for tomestones or loot by 1 tank and 3 dps.
-Delubrum reginae was beaten solo as well recently without a healer
-Eden's Gate Sepulture (savage) was also cleared without healers when it was current content.
-The ultimate coil of bahamut was cleared without healers or dps
The question was 1. butchered and not properly translated and 2. was ultimately answered with "go play Ultimate if you want harder content".
YOU TELL ME in what part of this question does it ASK FOR HARDER CONTENT?
"Increasing the amount of healing required"? You can limit that to EX and Savage. They haven't.
Giving more dps options? I didn't play in SB but they had more dps options and healers could still clear content just fine.
"Go play Ultimate" is a piss poor answer.
I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

Hey, alright. I get it. You're fed up and I don't honestly blame you. Sorry if I came off as dismissive. I just also see people being kinda mean to people who otherwise don't do anything wrong outside of say "i still find healer complicated." Which clearly you disagree with and frankly I also disagree with. I feel like the most realistic expectation would include some kind of scaling curve but as you've pointed out there just isn't any indication that they even want to TRY a halfway approach or whatever. Just chop it all down. In the end we agree. That's all that matters here. You didn't, but that's not something I was directing at you. Most of my post wasn't directed at you, but at the corpus of opinions I see all too often around WHM. You stick around WHM arguments for a while, and you start to get this...pattern. Yes, yes, WHM should be improved. But not like...*improved* improved. Slow down there, it can't be actually good or anything. Better, but be really careful; hit the brakes! We can't expect Square to make it actually fun or anything, just...a little better maybe.
It nearly always comes alongside a dissertation on why 1111111111111 is horrible, insulting game design, unworthy of being called gameplay at all. It's boring. It's awful. Nobody would want to play that way. And then as part of the dissertation's closing argument, there's always "anyway, here's why this design paradigm I just spent a ton of energy raging about is PERFECT for keeping on [a healer I don't play or care about]".
I'm the evil gatekeeper healer who's sick of the jobs getting dumbed down. There hasn't -been- any meeting halfway. Things get simplified, made even more impossible to fail. And we still have threads on the front page complaining that this game's story content is too hard. Seems like even though we've hit rock bottom with simplification, it's still too hard. I've been calling for raising the skill ceiling. I've even conceded long ago that Square doesn't want to increase healing requirements. Fine. Then give us downtime activities that are commensurate with a human level of brainpower, instead of 121111111111111111. But we can't even do that. Not because the people complaining about it can't do it, but because Square seems to think that its mere existence would be too scary. I'm pretty comfortable belittling people whose opinions have contributed to ruining my fun. WHM has been destroyed to appeal to people who didn't want to play it in the first place. I don't begrudge them that if they didn't ask for it, but I'm going to be direct with anyone who argues for keeping it in its ridiculous present state.
Give us more than one ultimate per expansion then at least =^)

I tell my static I want to swap to healer for the night if I want to give my wrists a break (I have wrist problems). The answer isn't calling it a night, it's play a healer.
There's way too many redundant healing spells and not enough dps options. There's literally no argument here. Easier content doesn't utilize even half of your healing kit. The harder ones gradually use less and less as the rest of the party gets comfortable and does your job for you. What's left? Broil/Glare/Dosis/Malefic. The mechanics in encounters don't help either, most have been reduced towards a wipe if you fail the mechanic.
I admit I don't main healer so I tried to refrain from posting, but I want to help by adding my voice here with my own experience. I had a lot more to say, but I'd be making a huge wall of text doing so.
