New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

Made an account in the forums to express my dissapointment with the "new" hairstyles hrothgar got. Never expected we'd get even half as many as the other races got, but I did expect we'd get something worthwhile for the wait. But even just shared hairstyles across all faces was apparently too high of a bar. Not even the decency to keep our ears with the terrible hairstyles that were picked to add.

I really am curious why those hairstyles in particular. The Nier one makes sense (although wtf quality control why is his head a bean) because it's an advertisement for their other IPs and the Lightning Returns one is just an advertisement for their cash shop, but... Why those hairstyles? Why the Karen hair and not just that -- why only the Karen hair? The fact that there were no more... traditionally masculine hairstyles done for them is almost bizarre.

they were largely the hairstyles given to Viera at the start of the expansion, meaning they were most likely already on the editing floor. In my eyes it just seems like they didn't give any thought or care as to which hairstyles would actually look good with Hrothgar ears and heads, they just chose the ones that they had just given Viera (which were chosen with care as to which hairstyles would actually look good with Viera ears and heads)

because they pushed off working on it until the last possible minute and instead of looking to see what hairstyles would look good on hrothgar, they just said "screw it" and gave them the same exact set of hairstyles that they gave to viera.

It is odd. Even for viera, only a couple desirable hairstyles were made available. It's almost as if they just pull them at random. Speaking of that, for hrothgar, they could be trying to make the same ones available that viera has available, but I don't know what all was added to compare on hand.

It is rumored that they‘re adding them in a specific order. Time will tell I guess.
