Stop Gating Behind Older, Less Popular Questlines and Raids

A 30 mins wait is nothing

Prior to 5.3, when I was leveling my raid-alt through ShB, I deliberately did not unlock the Crystal Tower raids on her because I was so tired of them; I just had Mhach and Ivalice (since she was not quite at 80 yet, so couldn't have the YoRHa raids). While it was great that I didn't ever have to see Labyrinth of Ancients in roulette for her, the downside is that said raid-alt was for tanking. And let me tell you, at least back in the 5.1/5.2 era, tank queues for Alliance Roulette if you don't have the Crystal Tower raids unlocked were not super fun. They were often at least an hour and a half long, and a number of times I topped 2 hours waiting in queue.

I finally gave up and unlocked Crystal Tower just before the 5.3 MSQ forced me to do it anyway. :|

No, I really do not like this idea, like, at all. Please, keep story gating content. Maybe streamline some of it, but never fall into WoW's habit of just letting people skip the story because then the story won't ever truly matter.

alliance raid is the great equalizer.
Tanks also have to wait.
More so if you don't unlock everything

Have to say, on EU chaos at least I usually don't have too long wait time if I queue for any of the 60,70 or 80 AR as a tank or healer.

Maybe try it on healer and/or tank?

It's a fun raid, and by far my favourite in all of XIV. As someone already suggested, maybe try out tanking and healing? The que times are significantly shorter so it's not as much of a wait.

I get all of the raids including from ARR, HW, SB and SHB equally in the roulette and have done for a very long time, so they do all come up. At the current time there is a 25% chance that you will get the raids from each expansion when leveling a character between 80 and 90, unless nobody is queued for some of them.

When you individually queue for it, it's usually not going to be instant because the roulette might want to supply any of the other 12 alliance raids before yours. For the newest one I have to wait over 30 minutes as a tank. This is just how it is for large-scale raids.

Are the Ivalice Raids unpopular? I was under the impression they were extremely well liked.

Honestly I'd love Ivalice to keep continuing post Bojza.
