    LOL this is because they are doing this because it sells. Remember they made FFXIV 1.0 for you people it failed and they had to rebuild the entire game. They took away features you people like such as the Cross Class System. Strangers of Paradise which was made for again, you people it failed because no one bought it but you people. Games that you consider good or was made for you people tend to go free2play and die.

    Remember fun to you guys is BDSM stuff you guys like your pain which you get pleasure from but call it an accomplishment. You people are still confused why so many people like New Game+ because most of the people play it for the story but since that is the reward you all see it as no reward and are utterly confused with things like that.

    1.0 didn't fail because the latency and unresponsive controls made it feel worse than Quake95.exe on a shared 33.6k modem.

    1.0 didn't fail because of a game world that was an empty and lifeless void of copy pasted jigsaw geometry.

    1.0 didn't fail because it completely failed to cash in on the iconic final fantasy brand, instead going with a muddled pool of forgettable classes that had no clue what they wanted to be.

    1.0 didn't fail because it tried to reboot a grindy time sink based horizontal MMO in a world that had been swept off it's feet by the vertical theme park concept.

    No, it failed because it was 'challenging'

    I want to address this one because it was the worst idea that SE had when making 1.0, it put them in competition with themselves by making XIV and XI appeal to the same playerbase. Right now they have 2 MMOs that are consistently profitable by making XIV and XI very different.

    You realize that game has a Story Casual mode, right? I played on that mode. It was fun as hell. And the story is great. Action and higher are there for those who want to challenge themselves with the more Soulslike aspects.

    It failed for numerous reasons but it wasn't the people, it was the original dev not listening to player base, even YoshiP said this on the 1st anniversary on the 18th floor event in game when he apologized for not listening to the us the players and now they are going full circle and starting to ignore the player base. The game was riddle with everything from only being able to play for a certain amount at start, to the horrendous latency issue with the UI and other technical issues all because a director that is no longer there did not want to listen. The classes are becoming to homogenize honestly and people have a right to voice their frustrations. I mean take a look and read through the JP side of things. THe sentiment is the same about the SAM and NIN changes. The devs are not in touch with the players.
