With what they did to Hroth, no. The developers must not to remove racial features. Let things clip.

I remember back in 2.x and armour would have modification for cats. sometimes it was as simple as cutting a window in it, other times they even added to the armour (like that caster gear with the tail sock!). I would be really happy if they added in a little window for the tails. some gear looks especially silly: capes being high on the list: i have to avoid any gear with a cape because it just looks silly. I'd defo welcome a /hidetail option for certain glams if SE aren't going to modify the gear to allow for the tails. Also, I find it strange that some of the novelty gear auto hides the tail (like the gold saucer piggy suit) but others don't (like the frog suit), even though they were released later. I would've thought it a no brainer to hide the tail on stuff like that.
There is a few sets out there that actually put things on the tail. A couple from Endwalker that come to mind is the DRK AF gear you get at lv 89 and the Fending astrology tome set. There was also the DRG AF set at the launch of HW that I think actually just replaced the tail with the one that was part of the armor design. And that infamous caster set from ARR that made the tail stick up.I remember back in 2.x and armour would have modification for cats. sometimes it was as simple as cutting a window in it, other times they even added to the armour (like that caster gear with the tail sock!). I too feel like some costumes should hide the tail such as the mascot suits for chocobo, piggy, etc. In the case of the bunny suits I feel like the suit's tail should be gone so it doesnt look like puffball clipped into the base of the tail.
Yes I remember. The current tome gear does in most cases (the tank one does on my hrothgar, but the striking one kinda kinda clips through my tail instead of sitting above it (unless they fixed that recently). I defo like seeing this kind of attention to detail. with 3 races with tails, I feel it's really quite important. When you see gear that has like a sachel on a belt or something and my tail clips RIGHT THROUGH IT, it just looks really stupid and becomes another item i don't wear at all (the black vest from firmament with the belts being one of the worst offenders)There is a few sets out there that actually put things on the tail. I want more sets like the radiant sets: designed with tailed races in mind, you know like how we used to have items for miqote ears in arr and hw
my poor horns clip through everything already ;n;
I‘d love to get a toggle for it. While we‘re at it please make one for leg armor too.
The option seems to exist, since certain gear parts get autoremoved. (Quaintrelle's Ruffled Skirt is a prime example) Let us decide if we are ok with the clipping or not, please.

Or they could add a second position for the tail, where it points more straight down so that it stays under the cape without clipping. .. but that probably takes too much resources for a small indie company to afford doing ^^
I think they should add a tail toggle in the style of Visors to coats and chestpieces with capes.
Because it looks so low quality when the tail just clips through stuff.
