P comes before Q.Personally, I think the 30min penalty is to harsh as it is.
If I wanted anything extended, it be the queue popped timer. Sometimes 45 seconds just isn't enough. The number of times had to use the rest room and then sprint across the hallway with my pants down just cause I heard the queue noise.
Don't Q before you P =]
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
This is not a hard issue to fix. Every abandonment should be counted and if you do it excessively over the span of maybe two weeks to a month a soft ban or join in progress only for roulettes.
If it was up to me, the roulette will update to "Reward already received" should a player abandon the duty. Basically they lose out on the reward completely for that particular roulette for the day. I don't screw around, and this is me actually being lenient. People in need of discipline get it though consequence and suffering. You don't still give the cookie to the hand that doesn't belong in the jar. You slap the cookie out of their hand, and throw the cookie right in the trash. Consequence (pain), suffering (loss of treat for the day); you bet your arse they learn. A practice that is now considered antiquated, barbaric, unjust. How's it working out?
I know some will feel I am being far too harsh. Yet, I am over here thinking how harsh it is to look at 3-23 other players, and immediately pass them off like their NPCs. TBH, I'd love nothing more than to be able to permanently ban these accounts.
30min penalty. What a joke.
I agree they should all get a 1 week ban from the game....
On a side note maybe you need to goto one of the hot springs around the world. Maybe everyone leaves because you have bathed in a while.
I don't know I don't believe we have partied.
How about...NO! I'm not going to make my self sick because you don't want to wait 5 seconds for a replacement dps if I should have the misfortune to get Smileton in my expert (sidenote it's sad that if there's a minion in there, I'll never get it /sadface)
At best I could only think of is revoking the roulette bonus on top of slapping the 30 minutes duty lockout.
Anymore than that will just become too much of a punishment for legitimate bailer.
Oh yes, I'd be glad to have my leveling roulette bonus revoked on top of 30m penalty if my roulette keeps giving me Copperbell Mine with 3 other lv70+ players.
"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
If people want to leave an instance, they should have the right to do so without repercussions from the GMs provided nothing shady is going on. The 30 minute penalty is punishment enough, thanks.
Oh look this thread again. As concluded in every other thread, no the system is fine. Just reque the instance and watch it be filled up nearly immediately. The person leaving already has to sith through a penalty that builds up with 3 leaves.
They already have that right. What are you talking about?
What should be crystal clear to everyone, is that the 30min penalty isn't enough of a consequence to prevent players from abusing the abandon duty feature simply because they get thrown into an instance they don't approve of. I can be fair though, which is why I proposed that players who choose to abandon the duty also waive their daily reward for it. Simple. They can even hop right back into the roulette, or another of their choosing without the 30min penalty. They can even still qualify for the AiN bonus and also get the 'swift completion' bonus if there's a new player, but they would still forfeit the daily reward for the particular roulette they abandoned.
No need to ban them. That should be more than sufficient to keep players from exploiting their douchery.
its a game. you press buttons. you control pixels. you destroy other pixels. it ain't that deep.If it was up to me, the roulette will update to "Reward already received" should a player abandon the duty.
