So Mr/Miss BG LS member, like how slow and static are these "new" fights? Even if they are a stepback in game style compared to the old good Ifrit?

You say about how ifrit was exciting, and about the good old ifrit but then you go on to say about how it was marred with problems with server lag, you answered your own question about why they went back to pre-ifrit.

SE need to test the 2.0 server client before they use it, the problem isnt only with the physical servers, the server side software will be to blame as well, so the problems with ifrit cannot be solved until 2.0.

I never said that Ifrit was exciting lol ... I simply stated that it was a good start, but afflicted by the problems that we all know... I'd expected something like him, but better designed to those new fight... Not an huge stepback by making tank&spank boss... Those were good in XI 5,6,7..10 years ago.. But not in 2012. Even batraal (yeah before ifrit) was more dynamic.. at least you had to turn off lamps, and the tank had to move him away...

Yeah the server side and input lag and whatever else is wrong needs to be fixed before they keep expanding on the dynamic fights you're hoping for. Otherwise they'd just be drawing more attention to it.

You wouldn't believe how much the "no casting while moving" change has messed with me due to server lag. I'm used to not casting while moving from other MMO's, especially when I've played healer. I take advantage of it by just having a constant heal being cast and interrupting it by taking a single step when I don't need it. But because of the input lag/animation lock/whatever, my heal goes off unnecessarily. The same issue that affects me doing this affects you enjoying more dynamic fights. It's a foundational thing. We won't see improvement til 2.0, I'm afraid.

I really hope that with the new engine/server , the situations will become really better... "other games" has raid with at least 6-7 (or even more) bossess all different, with different strategy and moves.. Where of course you don't stand in a safe point and spamm your abilities... Chimera is very disapointing imho.. :/

Sorry, I've gotta dissagree. I've had more fun on the job/af quests in this game than in any other MMO. We need quests like them added to the game.
