Obviously good WHM's exist too, those who like the aesthetic or idea behind it and hope for better days, or those who simply don't like AST and their team has a SCH/SGE. But thanks to how the class has been designed over the years, good, sensible and competent WHM's are a dying breed.
Honestly this is true. The WHMs I've been running into lately have been bad–like really bad. I'm talking like they can't even keep up with healing a big pull (and no, the tank usually has good gear on). It's sad to play dps when I don't feel like healing to watch a WHM just stare at the boss waiting for the next raidwide and then never using Lilybell, Asylum or Assize. The one I love the most is the WHMs that use Cure 3 as a ST heal and go OOM even after I suggest that it's an AoE spell.

This obsession with simplifying WHM to the point where people can actively turn off their brains is telling. When are the devs going to realize that simplifying healers has done nothing but drive the existing playerbase to leave out of frustration that their role has been turned to healers with zero depth.

The devs want more people to play healer? Then they should find someone that understands how healers are played in their game and realize that people want depth and evolving kits, not redundant abilities that get ignored. WHM is the worst offender as the devs think that WHM should be easy as in babying the player into bad habits with its barebone kit.
