I had a dream I was solo healing the First Endwalker Trial as a Sage and my cohealer was basically dead half the time and bodies flew everywhere and the boss was shouting "You will not live to see the end!"
Then I woke up, shook my head, thinking that was silly.

I log into FFXIV on sage, and then queue up for the trial. Bam, First Endwalker trial. I start getting deja vu, and look at my cohealer equipped with a Lv 76 Sage weapon in a Lv 83 trial. Oh boy. 80 ILVs below. It should be fine, it must be just them trying to cheese the ILV right in trial roulette right? No one would be crazy enough to queue into the first Endwalker trial without at least getting a lv 80 ILV 490-500 weapon right? Right????

So uh, long story short, I did not live to see the end.

Lol I am totally sure you can join the lv83 trial even naked, I remember Titania in ShB being a nightmare because I had the unfortunate pleasure of having a Scholar with Shire gear with no heals and a dragoon with lv60 AF and getting one shot to unavoidable damage.

Every day we learn something new. Today i learned that I can save a non-mitigation drk from Dreamscape last trashpull demise. Srsly they used just TBN even at the brink of death. But when boss casts a tankbuster... oh boy. 3 (3!) mitigations + TBN. So that tank knows about CDs existence. Thats a relief... i guess. Luckily we have two awesome dps who just eliminate enemies. They made that run almost bearable. Love u guys. <3

Anyway around two weeks ago I met another strange drk. And yes, it was a Dreamscape again. I don't know how to describe it. It just like... They were nearly immortal. The how?! I barely healed them, just poped kerachole once in a while and then dps for the rest of my blissful run. Thats the quality of a drk i never seen for my 2+ years of play.

This is exactly the reason why I'd like to see min ilvl added to Trials aswell.
I really appreciate it that they added it to leveling dungeons because the amount of times I've seen severly undergeared people in dungeons wasn't pretty. And I'm not talking about not having full augmented tome gear. I'm talking about lv 28 SCH weapon in Aery, right side ARR gear in Vault, mid-HW gear in Abania and so on.

It's not really an issue for people doing the MSQ on their first class because they need to pass min ilvl of the last dungeon before the story trial and that's completely fine. But especially people doing trial roulette show up often enough in a Trial saying "oh whoops haha didn't think I'd get a high lvl one thehehe whoopsie don't have gear thihihi". It got a lot better since min ilvl for dungeons but looks like people still can't be trusted with taking care of their gear a little bit.
The reason they're not doing it is probably because people could cheese trial roulette and strip to avoid getting the "difficult" or longer ones similiar to how people cheese alli raid roulette but it's odd that I could queue for every trial except (former) level cap ones stark naked. People don't do it for leveling because dungeons are faceroll and fast anyway and having a higher level toolkit is more fun. But I imagine some might do it for trial roulette.

Finally leveling Sage. Keep getting tanks who just sit in conals.

In particular I had a DRK in Holminster Switch today. First they sat at the entrance for about 3 minutes, and then when they started pulling they did single groups. I'm thinking, "OK, this will be slow but easy."

Nope. They literally would not dodge conals, at all. Cooldown usage for pulls consisted of Rampart, when the group was over half dead, Rampart still having 3~6 seconds after any pull it was used on.

Early on with the two bears between the first web and the web before first boss, they stopped and stood in the bear conals with no cooldowns. They plummeted to sub 8k HP, and instantly hit Living Dead. Of course, Walking Dead never triggered.

DPS weren't asleep, but they weren't doing so hot I feel. The run wound up taking close to half an hour without any wipes or deaths. I've never struggled so much.

Other than that, I had an Il Mheg where the PLD said after the first boss, "Wow, the healer is doing the most damage. That's interesting." The party, including me piped up about that. The Reaper said he was a jerk, and the BRD said, "Who cares about that in casual content? Wow, dude." The PLD responded before I said anything, saying, "I just got the damage add-on. I just think it's interesting healer's doing the most." I said, "Better not discuss that, it's against the TOS. You could get reported." The Reaper said, "I'm not butthurt enough to report, but yeah, be careful who you insult next time."

So then there was just some awkward silence until the end with a couple of GGs at the end. BRD didn't grab a tether twice during second boss, and it was getting BIG! I comm'd the Reaper for being a good sport and not leaving. I felt like they were doing OK. It was about a 24 minute run, not stellar, but not too terrible. I've had far worse.

What I find interesting thing here is that the pld isn't saying dps is low, which is usually the first thing that's said with some parser users in casual content. He's saying that the healer damage is higher than both dps. Small distinction but an important one. No matter how casual the content you're doing, as a dps, you should never be doing less than your healer, aside from obvious factors that would prevent you from doing more. Even more interesting that the reaper took it as an insult when no insult was given. Granted, it's obvious he means that as an insult to his pride but no literal insults were given, just observation.

I don't know if it's a new trend or something but I have had more than a handful of tanks this past week eating absolutely everything they can. Funny thing is, these individuals have multiple jobs at lvl 90. I don't know if they do it on purpose or they are just clumsy, but healing 3-4+ vulnerability stacks in the Endwalker dungeons is not funny.

Minimum iLevel needs to be enforced for all content in the game, and I will continue to yell about it until it is.

Maybe people actively refusing to get better gear - or otherwise trying to cheese their ilvl to get low stuff - doesn't happen often enough in JP for the devs to think it's a problem that needs fixing, but that doesn't exactly make it any better if it's simply ignorance rather than intention.

The nightmare is in Stone Vigil when you have a Tank with lvl 10 gear they bought cheap off of the Market Board who tries to pull everything lol.
Stone Vigil is a huge damage increase the mobs actually hit pretty hard which is a bit of a shock to a lot of people.

For some reason those Ice Elementals hit especially hard an overzealous undergeared Tank = 100% -> 0% in a split second.

I honestly hate the community perception that this callout is a bad thing.

Like if you're gonna do less DPS than the healer, maybe it's time to step out of the duty finder and figure out what your buttons do.
