ex-wow tanks - especially ones that used to run endgame content in wow - that try to argue with the party are so frustrating.

i had to rescue one out of the blue fire aoe in the twinning during the first boss and they just ran straight back into the middle of the fire. they used no cooldowns, they let those behemoths out of the tubes and they did not try to pull anything during the fight. they continuously turned their stance on and off, losing pull. the fight took so long and was so chaotic that one of the DPSes just said "i'm out." and pokeball'd mid-fight. we barely finished the first boss by the skin of our teeth.

when we finished, the tank attempted to blame everything on that DPS when said DPS was probably the most competent out of all of us.

we (gently) attempted to explain things like NOT STANDING IN FIRE all they said was "that's heals problem" and when we tried to explain cooldowns they said "saving them for emerg" which even if that were the case, it was an emergency when we were ALL ALMOST DEAD AND THEN DOWN TO ONE DPS. with the party deteriorating and the tank refusing to move on/continue, i prepared to hit leave. just before i did though the tank began listing all the things they cleared in wow like they were credentials or something.

Credentials for a vote kick to be started...if people refuse to even listen when any advice is given because of anything like "you don't pay my sub" or "not my problem, adjust"...kick, don't think twice, kick.

50% of all weekly reclear P2S parties are secret limit cut prog parties.

Usually it's the fourth fight of a tier where that happens! Like how everything in E12S was lions prog. Intermediate Relativity prog? Actually lions prog. Cleanup and enrage? Actually lions prog. Weekly two-chest reclear? Actually lions prog. (The only thing that wasn't actually lions prog were parties labeled as lions prog, which were in fact Shiva prog.)

if i were not already in a bad mood i would've done so but at that point i had just spent several minutes kiting adds (before and during the boss), throwing my dot on them between healing and was forced to sprint after the tank with the DPS every time there was a stack marker. there did come a point where the boss took so long that i should've just let us wipe but i was desperately attempting to be patient because, well, everyone sucks at one point or another and i was hoping -after- the boss we could give some tips, but. well. you know the rest.

Haven't seen a dancer in Expert. Then I leveled it. Now any time I do Expert as a dancer, the other DPS is always another dancer.

I am filled with an unholy rage every time a tank runs deliberately out of my earthly star.

Was doing just a messy and slow Ktisis. The DRK would use all of his cooldowns at once, and then when they fell off his health was just getting deleted. The DRG was having sever lag issues, and the smn was barely dealing any damage. Everything died so slowly.

The tank kept making large pulls, which was fine despite the issues. He didn't die....well until he ran out of the earthly star. Like that big pull right before the 2nd boss, put the star right in the middle of the platform, plenty of room to move around freely. This guy sees it, and runs all the way to the corner outside of it. I rescued him back into it, but he sprints back out. Then his cooldowns fell off and i'm just mentally bluescreened by the stupidity, so he died, right after the detonation that would have saved him had he stood in it.

For the record, i raised him right after and the pull was still fine, kept the dps alive just fine, tank was the only one who died. Also, every time he got a tank buster marker he would bolt to the edge of the room like it was gonna hit everybody if he was within 20 yards of us.

If you think someone like that did any endgame in WoW, I think you're forgetting that WoW's community is allowed to chew you out for a similar performance while in FF14 it's welcomed. People who do actual WoW endgame are overall a lot better than the content that they're running, because they have to be. No mistakes allowed.

As for the "that's heals problem", that sounds like a very FF14 quote, because dungeons do 0 damage if people don't stand in 'the fire', and healers in FF14 are absolutely broken in throughput, so they can deal with people standing in 'the fire' at the cost of dealing DPS with ease.
