Maybe you should try doing questionable rp since you and people like you seem so obsessed with it. It might make you a happier person overall and may get you to stop projecting.
I don't really get the OPs reason for insulting/mocking the playerbase of ff14.
It's like being mad at the Mario kart community after buying your first mario kart game 10 entries in and then suggesting on their forum/reddit:
And then being upset that the fanbase isn't quite hooked on that idea."As the title suggests, Nintendo making the next Mario Kart entry a first person battle royale game like Fortnite would really shake up the formula and create many interesting opportunities. First the more practical being that content would have a longer shelf life given it would be more player driven. Also it would make the world far more interesting by removing the singular one and done track and zones into moving, contested fronts. They could even do monthly/seasonal rewards and titles for those that control the most land. [...]
Thoughts?"
No thanks I like the game as a pve centric experience there are many other pvp oriented games out there to play if you want pvp.
Enjoy Life you only get one.
I'd rather not ^^
Check out new world
This game actually has surprisingly fun and engaging PVP, but it is not a feature most of the community has any interest in regardless of its quality. You are trying to sell an immaculate, exemplary hippopotamus to people who are simply not interested in owning a hippo. That is not what the vast majority of Final Fantasy fans want out of this game. Even the PVPers generally agree it is and should be a fringe feature.
I get bored of battlegrounds after doing 3 of them in a row. Why would I want that to be my main source of content?
some of you really just slap your keyboard a couple of times and hit post
No. There are plenty of PVP games on the market. Go play one of those, or go back to WoW.
Time to unsubscribe from the game.As the title suggests, SE making 7.0 a pvp driven expansion would really shake up the formula and create many interesting opportunities. First the more practical being that content would have a longer shelf life given it would be more player driven. Also it would make the open world far more interesting by during the boring, one and done zones into moving, contested fronts. They could even do monthly/seasonal rewards and titles for those that control the most land. You could also involve the crafters and gatherers by making economy player controlled. Making market board systems only work for friendly factions.
Lore wise you could justify it as a either a breakdown of the great company of Eorzea and other nations, or a scramble for the resources of the new world or southern continent. It would also open up role-playing opportunities by allowing players to settle scores with violence. I would even go so far as allowing war crimes and making a infamy/fame or hero/villain system to gauge rewards and standing. I mean, who hasn't wanted to commit warcrimes against the Lalafell menace.
Thoughts?
This isn't a PvP game. If someone wants a PvP game, they should go play one.
