Would be nice to finally get some Curly/Afro hairstyles included into the game

Dang man, folks are just asking for other hairstyles, why is that so bad for people to simply ask that you really have to debate that? How do you know it'd be "messy" or not? Like I literally can't wrap my head around why anyone would be against more options. Is there a reason folks are getting butthurt for others really asking for more representation? Boggles my mind.

I, for one, would love more curly hair options.

The hairs usually look ugly so its probably a waste, dreads like that viking picture is probably the best its gonna look like or else it'll just be a mess. If they gonna make more hairs then let it be more all around usable and not some useless "represent" thing. Not that hard to choose one of the current hairstyles to try and represent you it is still a final fantasy game and not gw2.

Bit of silly comment isn’t it, but i get it if the default customisation options of the game represent you then who cares right? the point is there are no options for curly/wavy/messy/afro hair but tons of straight and spiky hairstyles. So to explain in a logic that you’ll understand the current options covered half of what people would eventually like in the game, so now i’m suggesting they introduce the second half of hairstyles that differ from the ones we already have like Curly/wavy/afro/messy options that people who play the game can use for more customisation with there characters. No there isn’t any hairstyles in the game that would allow said customisation and please stop being so defensive and picking out random words from comments like “represent” and using it as a basis for your comment, Also just because the game isn’t GW2 doesn’t mean they can’t add these hairstyles into it that argument makes no sense whatsoever.

I'm not sure what your issue is with having hair styles that have a texture other than bone straight. Like what exactly is the issue with them asking for more options especially considering this is a reasonable, nonstupid request, which is more than I can say for other threads on this forum.

Less of an issue for having hairstyles (I like fashioning my char after all) but more about just being realistic in what they are asking for and how unimportant it is.

Too true, it’s a perfectly normal request not sure how it could possibly trigger or annoy anyone, i saw a few posts on the FFXIV fan reddit about this and people were downvoting them… like really? A hairstyle type request for a game that’s been out for 8 years now that introduces new hairstyles regularly?

Yeah but even something that's simple like the female dreadlock style on males would be a start or a wavy hairstyle like that one poster suggested wouldn't be excessive. In the case of the dreadlocks, it's already in the game and would just need to be allowed on males. No one said SE had to do this all at once, we're all (or at least should be) aware that this takes time. And considering that people also ask for hairstyles from certain characters in the game, this is, imo, just as reasonable as that.

WoW started doing a lot better with diversity options. Too bad it did it while laying down on its deathbed.

I don't see any players at JP server (At least in my server) that using afro.

Probably later at new area like Meracydia we will find more NPC using afro and braid hair?
