Cus he cares about our health irl. Even he says its okay to take a break and play other games and come back whenever theres a new patch.
True there was a long gap but WoW had at Shadowlands release Mythic+ with almost infinite replayability including a lot more end game dungeons and raids than FF14. Not defending OP but sometimes i want for more end game replayability as well. Not sure what artifact power your referring to in shadowlands since I'm pretty sure those systems were left behind after the legion artifact weapons & bfa heart of azeroth. The only thing you can even grind is renown....yay. WoWs "content' could be mostly done for the week within 2 days. Have you farmed all your 570 gear yet? is it materia'd out? doubtful. WoW's community makes doing any content feel like I'm dragging my teeth over very coarse sandpaper, god forbid you wipe in a mythic+.
I played wow since it's release and if you think it has "non stop content" you're delusional and looking at wow with rose colored glasses. Wasn't there a HUGE gap in release dates between their content? 9 months between 9.1 and 9.2(9.1 had the appeal of a roasted turd) while ff14 has a 4 month release window for most content patches. The only replayable content wow even has (that ff14 doesn't) is mythic+ and even that's dependent eventually on pick up groups once your key gets past what you can handle.
I think what you're looking for is your typical korean mmo where you can grind forever while trying to avoid the p2w whales.
This community, I swear.
Hey everyone, it's YOUR fault that S-E has such a limited housing system even though games with far less budget and popularity manage to have housing for everyone *and* with more options.
It's also YOUR fault that, should you not play the game within 45 days of having your house demolished, S-E just trashes every item you worked for.
I think it comes down to preferences.
Some people prefer a game they can no life for many years without running out of stuff to do, most likely due to the neverending grind or rng or something.
Other people prefer having a game they can play on & off whenever they feel like it.
It's just that generally MMO's try to keep players attention for a long time so they try to make them grindy, they try to make people repeat content over & over & over again just to keep people playing (and paying.)
I think it's a breath of fresh air in the mmo industry that a game doesn't do this. I think it's generally a good thing but i can see why it's not for everyone.
It's not Yoshida or SE's responsibility to babysit people's unhealthy habits, and, for that matter, if someone wants to spend 20 hours at a PC that's on them. I do personally take breaks from this game, but I do think this game needs more lasting content. On the matter of housing, I think it's probably even worse now if one was to lose their house, as the only way to get one back is all chance, supposedly.

Noaki Yoshida in one interview told that if players are bored with the game or if they have completed all PVE content then they should take a break and come back in the next patch. Frankly speaking this is very damaging to the game and to square enix as a whole because its an mmorpg and players play mmorpg to commit long term. Look at the WoW director, Ion Hazzikotas. He never told players to take a single break from WoW. Infact he gives players new ideas on how to play WoW differently when they get bored or during a content drought but never once he said to take a break.
And look at how WoW and FFXIV are doing now. FFXIV is doing great, WoW is in a steep decline.
I am pretty sure you are in a minority. When I play an mmorpg I play it non stop for 10+ years without taking breaks and I am sure there are millions of players like me who think the same way. Majority of mmo players have no interest in single player games.
I play several MMOs - taking short breaks from each of them every now and then when I start to get bored, and returning after a while when my interest in the game has been renewed. Oh, and I do play single-player games now and then - as do most people I know from MMOs.
LMAO and look where WoW is now. Bleeding and failing while FFXIV is so successful they had to temporarily halt new sales.Noaki Yoshida in one interview told that if players are bored with the game or if they have completed all PVE content then they should take a break and come back in the next patch. Stop trying to turn this game in to WoW.
In the history of touching grass, no one has ever needed it as badly as OP does.
majority of mmo players don't play longer than 2 hours a day...
that's because wow's systems force you to spend so much time on them as opposed to ff14's which timegate you anyways, so you may as well play something else. if you got everything done in one sitting, what else are you gonna do?
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
