I know the Devs don't want to add any more Playable Races, but I REALLY dig Loporitts

I'm a fully-grown man who is STILL in my edgy "Linkin Park" phase, I just switched fro Dark Knight main to now Reaper, and I deliberately chose my Xaela's appearance to truly look like an "otherworldly, Warrior of Darkness".

And yet, the Loporitts are now quite possibly my favorite race. I don't normally like things that TRY to be "cute", but they just totally work. Moreover, however, there's something about them that ACTUALLY feels quite "magical".

I'm personally hoping we might see a "Mystic Knight" sometime -- kind of an inverse of the Red Mage, being more melee-oriented and using Lunar-based bagic -- and at the very least, I feel like it could have some connection to the Loporitts. But even as a melee job, I feel like you could justify them as wielding SOME form of "magic".

Fat chance, for sure, but I would most certainly dig playing a Loporitt.

Can we not. Enough is actually enough, because we are already getting less and less gear now. When female hrothgar get introduced I expect even more pieces to start getting cut.

Not a fan. Loporrits are cute and all... but I personally wouldn't want them to be playable. For now, they should just fill in the female Hrothgar spot and the current races we have should be the end of races introduced into FFXIV. I'd much rather them shift resources to the current races we have and improving their current customization rather than keep adding random new races and ignoring the big issues in customization that we have right now. So, no Loporrits, if you want to play a small race we have Lalafells, and there are plenty of mascot heads to put on them in the meantime.

I'd rather not. I strongly dislike the idea of them getting all of the same Jobs and weaponskills as an actual character.

They won't add it even if they have resource to do it. One word: story.

Loporits are better than Lalafells and all Lalafells should be changed to Loporits. Change my mind.

The problem with this is anytime a dev blinks, someone says they should have been using that time they spent blinking to sit down and squat out another dungeon instead. SE can literally specifically hire a team SPECIFICALLY to do NOTHING but stand in a corner in his office and people will type up 30 page essays about how that team actually turned to the left once and how that turn single handedly cost them a savage. Like it's legit insane how true this is. True to the point of being pathetic.

So I can't see them doing anything else for races for a good time. They'll probably focus on content more now that they've given a ton of story. Not that that'll matter because no amount of content will ever satisfy the types who attack devs for not doing what they personally think the devs should be doing. It'll always be a case of armchair CEO's imaginarily hiring and firing workers that they've convinced themselves in their delusions of grandeur MUST be there for the purposes that they've created and nothing else. And yet they'll try anyway. They'll try and fail and then go back to telling us more story. and as we fight in the stories they've imagined, hroths and rabbits still won't have their hats. Hroths still won't be able to change their wigs without paying up. Etc etc.

But can I see this happening later LATER down the line? Like maybe 3 years from now? Yes, absolutely. If you think about their role now, it wouldnt be too far fetched for them to become playable eventually.
