Before anyone starts shouting at me gor the full armorset part, there is a difference between simply looking good and having a good glamour. Glamour requires in my opinion for you to put at least a little effort into composing something new entirely, or else it simply:
    Is
    Not
    Glamour.
I'm glad someone feels the same as me in those regards.

In World of Warcraft, which I played for a while up until June of this year, people valued the look of the transmog more than the sources of the transmog items, unless it was Mythic Raid gear. I was surprised to see full sets of levelling dungeon gear being slung around juxtaposed against modern school uniforms with bright yellow Savage weapons... Didn't feel right to me coming from a more strictly fantasy game, although I guess with Garlemald as part of the world it kinda makes sense?

I prefer simple and plain — the WoL equivalent of wearing a solid-colored t-shirt and pants. The Velveteen Cowl is a perfect example. (If only I could find something like it but without the hood.)

Low-level. I use event pieces a lot because I enjoy holiday glams and really like many of the outfits we've been given over the years. Usually, more of my time is spent with the dye preview, choosing a palette, than choosing the actual items. The difference in how the colors look on my screen (pc) and my husband's (PS4) is interesting. Sometimes I glance over at his screen and am a little surprised by my own creation.

I usually mix and match pieces of gear from random places and levels unless I'm wearing a full job specific set. And even then I usually make some alterations like different pants or headpieces. But I like to make sure it is as close to perfect as I can make it.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

You could buy the level 76 version from the marketboard or a vendor in Amh Araeng, but I'm pretty sure it dyes differently from the Ala Mhigan version.

FFXIV fashion peaked with the Acolyte and Foestriker sets, tbh.

When I glam, my rules are generally:

    1. Has shorts and a short-sleeved/sleeveless top (No point in having scales if nobody can see them).

    2. Looks appropriate for my job.

    3. Looks comfortable enough to wear in casual situations (Opting for light armor over plate for my fending/maiming glams).

I tend to go relatively simple for my glamours, but I do have a definite aesthetic of "boots, pants, and a kickass long jacket" where possible, and "boots, pants, and some sort of tunic-y top" where not.

For instance, my white mage glamour is pretty straightforward in appearance (if, perhaps, not in the variety of sets I drew from):

    As is my samurai glamour:

This very rarely involves multiple pieces of the same set, though.

I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.

I want to do more glamour stuff, but, I always end up distracted by leveling jobs lol, for now i stick with the class gear mostly, except my bard, my bard had to have a somewhat Jaskier from the witcher feel.
