My forum start date isn’t anywhere near where i started. I was just hesitant on interacting with the forum community based on my experiences in game. Irregardless though, most controversial i meant by both the way the story went and how good/bad it was and also the effort put into other things. I know how the patches work and yes things are added into the patches later but my entire point of this post was that, we are seeing the worst case of gear reusing than we’ve ever seen in the past despite the game being delayed 6-7 months and SE making the most money from ShB. With them making more money and getting new players we should be seeing more content not less. I know they prioritize story first, but that doesn’t change the reusing gear thing at all, because it was never this bad in previous expansions. Like not only did they not reuse gear a shitton, they literally reused a song for an expert dungeon instead of giving us a new song. That’s ridiculous, and yes the different team group is the point i was making although i do understand specific teams do work on different things. Like i just learned for example the same team that designs Ultimates is also the same team that….designs housing lol.

I can sympathize with wanting to avoid official forums, thank you for clarifying that.

I personally really enjoyed the story even though pacing was not great at times. Subjective tastes and all that.

I agree, the rampant reuse of existing game assets is upsetting. I tend to be on the "more side" of the understanding of circumstances impacting game development continuum so it doesn't bother me a huge amount. My brother works for Nintendo of America so I've heard a lot about what's been going on from within a game development/publishing company. No joke, it's been very difficult for them so knowing that I can see how SE could have experienced similar setbacks that have led to current circumstances. I can certainly see how a lack of effort, either real or perceived, could bother others quite a bit.

It sounds like we agree on the fundamental issues you brought up. I hope they increase productivity and creation of new assets going forward; maintaining the current level of reuse with the amount of income the game's getting in conjunction with lessening of work restrictions will get irritating quickly.

Just now realized the level 88 crafted weapons are literally reused versions of the 83 dungeon….they literally reused weapons from the same patch in the same patch. Wtf?

Nothing new there.

HW reused the Level 136 as Dravanian i195 (Aery > Anti Tower). Similarly and more appropriately they also reused the gear from Dusk Vigil as the i145 crafted gear.

Similarly SB reused the gear from Bardams for the crafted DoH/L Kudzu sets.

Like, have you not yet noticed this was already a thing long, long ago.
