I'd love to see a Brawlers Guild in FF14

Yeeh, while bozja does have something like it, it is too infrequent, grindy and you have to compete with other players to get access.

Figuring most of those duels are linked to Critical Engagements that frequently have mass graveyards afterwards and to be eligible to be challenged for the duel you have to clear said CE's without getting hit by any of the avoidable damage I found in most cases there wasn't much if any competition for them lol.

I'd love something similar to keystones as well. As long as they continue being FF14, and the rewards for keystones being completely separate from the rest of the game. Certainly don't need them to be a job again, sucked all the fun out of keystones.

M plus has created one of the most abusive, toxic and utterly disgusting facets of the WOW community, with people being abused and ridiculed because "You cant even do a 15, scrub, git gud" then theres the LOVELY Raider.io that is used as a blunt instrument to EXCLUDE as many as possible.

Along with dps meters being spammed to publically humiliate players for "doing 1300k dps and not 1301 dps"

We can kindly do without that kind of mentality.

Brawlers Guild is...alas...from WoW. As someone who quit several years, and made the full jump to FF14 (Been on and off since ARR), I fully believe a form of Brawlers Guild would make a fantastic edition to FF14.

To summarize, Brawlers Guild is a single player arena. There are stands for people to watch your fight, and players queue up for fights. Each fight is essentially a solo boss fight, with the more you beat, the harder they get. If you beat them all, you get VIP access in a special area.

The whole thing is very simple, and maybe a bit niche, but it is content that is extremely fun to those people who find it enjoyable. A difficult challenge, along with watching others take it on. And a lot of times, players helping players figure out the fights, or how to improve their rotation/gear when needed.

It's a great community get together, past time, and enjoyable system. I've made friends in the Brawlers Guild that I still talk to this day. And I'd love to see something like Uldah's coliseum be turned into something similar.

That sounds like a fun and simple activity to implement. Give it some achievements, titles, and some fun glams and MAYBE a mount and It would be perfect.

Trials are already close enough for me, even if it is group content. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if brawls are a low-key copy of trials, or duties which are solo content.

Actually, FF7's Gold Saucer did have that. It was how you got the Omnislash LB.

It happened, I saw it happen, and yes, id rather not see FF 14 adopt the model and features that were part of WOWs utter failure. I played WOW for nine years, and have had plenty of time to see and analyse what worked..and what FAILED.

Boogeyman? No. When you see firsthand how and why WOW failed over and over and over again, it follows that one would want to avoid making the same mistakes elsewhere.

That's the kind of BS that costs other content that makes FFXIV unique and actually fun, and entirely takes away from Final Fantasy's legacy. WoW's already got that crap. Go there.
