Am I ever going to be able to play?

I've been able to log into the game exactly 5 times since Endwalker early access. Haven't even made it out of the third zone yet while I see people who have finished MSQ and have multiple level 90 classes complain about queue times.

I just sat through 2 hours of queue to 278, then without being disconnected at all, it updated to 2133. So now I have to sit through 3 more hours. My friend spent 7 hours trying to log in earlier this week. And I work during the week and can't play at 2am when the queues aren't packed. I can't spend 3+ hours every time trying to log in. By the time I log in, it's time to go to sleep for work the next day.

I managed to get logged in last night. Got halfway through the Starlight Celebration event and was disconnected with a 90002 error standing at a bell by my house interacting with my retainers. I was in the game a total of 45 minutes. Haven't been able to get back in since. So, are we going to be given the event rewards in the mail for people who can't even get in to do the event? Or are they going to be forced to spend money in the cash shop a year from now when the rewards are available to buy? I know the event lasts two weeks, but I can't get logged in to play except maybe once or twice a week if I'm lucky.

I'm trying to be patient. I understand the issues. But.......... this is really frustrating.

Well, thanks for having the restraint to not go on yet another tirade about how terrible SE is. It's a crap situation all around. On the weekend, are you maybe able to get on in the morning or something?

If you're not able to work around it somehow then... yeah. You have my sympathies, and my hope that things improve sooner than later...

Not probably.

This situation will last for a least 1-2 months if not more because SE doesn't have more servers and "they can't get new ones", so its up to the player base, if they keep trying to struggle everyday or give up and play other games.

Have you tried logging in to queue with TeamViewer?

Chrome Remote Desktop works as well. It requires some heads up, but if you're too early inside, you can still click or move your character before the 30min timeout kicks in.

Doable but it will need PC. Need both PC or laptop and Playstation on.

Teamviewer on your device > Teamviewer on PC/laptop + PS Remote Play > Playstation.

Why is this in quotations? It's actually factual, trying to get any computer related items is more difficult/expensive due to all the lockdowns we had/continue to have. I read a report that said Samsung and a few other companies are looking to make more computer parts in Texas as to help avoid the current issues going forward; granted it will be years from now when those facilities are even up and running.

The number of people staggering their attempts to log in is very noticeable. As in by thousands in the queue, though dependent on server most likely. For Leviathan, it's been a bit since seeing the >7000 queue from last week. We'll get a better measure tomorrow, but it is what it is right now. A problem, no doubt, but hopefully one that will stagger itself better for in short time. There will always be a queue going forward, at least until a noticeable increase in server capabilities are made, but the waits should be much more manageable.

If you are one of the unlucky ones in terms of both your time allotted to play and prime hours of login, then you really would be better off considering this a loss for now. Most people though are actually able to manage this IF they actually want to bother going to those lengths, like changing sleep schedules so that you will wake up early enough to log in while the queue is minimal or even non-existent in some cases. I personally don't think it's worth doing that but there obviously are options for those who do. Reminds me of my days playing the old era FFXI and needing to wake up stupid early because there's a chance an endgame Notorious Monster (think world boss) might appear in it's 3hr spawn window following its 72-hr respawn time. Shit sucks.

The situation is not going to get much better for a few weeks, and probably worse as people go on holiday vacations. Best solution is to try to login during off-peak hours. In my case, I'll initiate login and get in the queue as soon as I start my PC in the evening after work hours, take care of emails, browse this and that online, fix a quick dinner, eat it, and typically I'll get into the game by 8 or 9 pm at the latest (Pacific time, on Midgardsormr). I can then play as late as I want, unless I get disconnected, in which case I'll log back in, and by then the queue will be less than 100 people. Is it still annoying? Yes. But I do get to play, and so life is not so bad after all...
