Postpone Patch 6.05 - The Hardest Thing to Say

No. Just because you can't be WFC and have bragging rights, doesn't mean you need to delay the story for everyone else.

I don't give a damn about the raids aside from the quests that go with them, I want to continue the story.

Not everything needs to be decided because 'oh no my static group can't be together and we might not be first and be special.'

The problem is the weekly limits on gear. People can't get gear if they can't login. Then fall behind in ilvl and can't keep up.

Keep up with what?

I may be being mildly facetious here, but, being a week or two behind on upgrading gear isn't actually holding any player back from running anything. What are they in such dire need to "keep up" with if they will still (optimistically, in all likelihood) be able to complete gear upgrades by the release of 6.1, or whenever it is that said upgrades become obsolete/necessary for the next batch of upgrades (for raiders I think that'd end up being 6.2?).

Sadly they are not going to do so. And people like you are the reason.why suspended the hole patch? Just delay the raid not rest of the patch. To much people warding thing wrong.

Are world firsts for raid clears.. or ANY clears really (aside from firmament) anything other than Epeen waving? Like.. do you even get a title? Or is it literally just "my timestamp for the achievement is the earliest of them all on whateverserver"?


Cause if that's it.. y'all need to chill. Servers are months out at best. Games not going to have a content dearth cause you all can't be sure of waving your epeen.

Some people just enjoy the competition and bragging rights. While it doesn't appeal to me, I understand that others get some sort of thrill out of it. In WoW, that thrill and burst of adrenaline was mount farming for me. Here...I don't know I guess. I just like to chill and casually grind things, though I will challenge myself as the want or need arises.

Yoshi actually covered this in the latest Congestion announcement. TL;DR he said no delay.

Thankfully no delay. I'm a Day 1 raider and would hate to have to wait for it because some whiny peeps scared their statics can't play together.

If there was any other situation I would agree with the perspective, but considering there's "No end in sight" of this congestion as of yet, it literally makes no sense to delay the raid for an "undetermined amount of time" for a unanimous player opinion of "yeah it's back to normal".

Obviously, the dev team believes or has the sample size to tell that the group still affected by any remaining errors is miniscule compared to the remaining playerbase enjoying Endwalker.

I understand the desire, but I don't see it as a valid reason to delay content for those waiting for it. If there is no solid "reward" for something that hinges on server access at a specific time, there is no reason to delay said content.

Let say SE decide to postpone the raid by like a month. During the time, more people will complete MSQ, obviously, but it doesn't mean they will just leave and wait for the raid to release. There are still many things for them to do to kill within the time frame of a month, from maxing all classes, preparing for raid gear, to doing old contents for extra fluffs. Some simply doesn't want to waste their sub time, so they will keep log in daily and doing something to make the most of it, thus taking server slots. In short, the queue will barely change.

Maybe if the raid is delayed by 3 months, it will be create a content drought that drives enough people away for a more comfortable. But I don't see this healthy for SE's business, and it will make players who are eager for the raid to wait much longer.


And when the raid comes, population will spike again, and you're back to the queue.


In short, someone's comfort will often result in someone else's suffering. In this case, delaying the raid won't really add much to the comfort side, but add more to the suffering side.
