Rehash of monsters, gear, u name it! Kind of standard for any mmo these days.
Gear reuse was to be expected from the moment male viera was announced. And this will be repeated when female hrothgar is added.
People pressure the devs for new races with no consideration for consequences. Then they turn around and make a surprise pikachu face when they have to deal with the consequences.
Hundreds of existing gear sets - per role - for one new race. Some expectations are unreasonable.
i mostly agree. that said, square is a large enough company that i'm fairly certain they could pay a single person to go through and make the reused gear be at least dyable. people who break the tos and commit a bannable offense to make things... look different... *ahem* have proven that this is a trivial task.Gear reuse was to be expected from the moment male viera was announced. I could be wrong, but isn’t the 81 dungeon gear able to be dyed? I know it at least let’s you dye preview, but maybe not actually dye
Yes it was.the bosses was fun and got lots of things you need to move from in time or you dead. Was the first dungeon a step up? All of the dungeons this expansion seem a step down from ShB dungeons. ShB dungeon pulls actually hurt and required heavy healing and that isn’t the case anymore really. Most dungeons now have forced small pulls or just less overall healing especially due to new tank mitigation’s and heals.
When it is a free mmo yes. Not when it the biggest one and is P2P.thing is for ff14 is as if they no longer have a team for this part of the game. Even new sets from SB was a bit cut. Like drg gear is a 100% coppy of the tank and not a shorter version as in the past. Then you will think "well they just going the scamy way and putore of the nice gear in the cash shop" but no. This on top of so much glam was just modern clothes. Something strange here.
Onlly bunny males don't have a unique body as well as lion boys. Now some reused gear are ok but not all. It's by far the lowest amount we got in any expansion. SB give more and we got 2 new race there. Can't you paladins of SE at last try to make it logical?and don't try going the "but covid" way.Gear reuse was to be expected from the moment male viera was announced. My 2 gil.
Just think for a moment how many gear sets there are, and not just from dungeons but crafting, raids, etc. And that there will be at least 5 variations for each based on role.
The fact the art team can come up with any new designs at all is approaching miracle stage.
I don't see it as an issue, especially as glamours are a thing and widely used.
My RDM has pretty much overwritten any gear with the level 70 AF appearance for the last 4 years, so never mattered what the gear originally looks like to me.
Though, the new 90 RDM AF is great so I may be heading towards setting that up as a glamour plate now![]()
Think about it, nobody wants to die, there's rules to this game son, I'm justified.
It's not really an excuse - but with more jobs (and therefore more artifact gear), and more races (therefore more models for every piece) - I bet we actually have MORE new gear models in Endwalker than any previous expansion.
Even if it feels like a lot less.
