That doesn't seem relevant to the idea that EU players purposely chose congested worlds and thus karmically deserve the long queues to get into the new expansion. Anyone who joined more than a few years ago had almost no choice world-wise.

SE splits worlds to alleviate some crowding issues back in the day and is met with complaints about long wait times for duties and roulettes.

the lesson learned? the EU prefers a more congested environment for playing.

SE puts off further population relieving measure until EU reaches a certain mass.

It has been 7 days now since the proverbial poo hit the fan. I think we need an announcement today on more extended game time and an ETA for a fix on the server errors (2002, 3001, etc.). The queues themselves are understandable.

As a paying consumer who cannot access the product for which I've already paid, I think that is a perfectly reasonable and fair request (though I still think they should be offering refunds for Endwalker at this point to those who want it). Hopefully we see something today.

The first few days it was ok, but I can't sit in a 4000-6000 queue every day.

I am a new player and I joined the server that the game recommended me. Now I can't access it without waiting hours on end.

Man, even though I love Endwalker I really think that the super long queue times really detract from the experience, normally I log in during the early morning but god forbid I disconnect because even a 900 person queue will take at least 30-50 minutes

Especially since I'm one of those people who only has 1 viable option for internet, and that viable option has no incentive to provide good service since they are after all, a monopoly, so if I disconnect, even if I wake up early and log on and stay logged on, I end up having to wait anyways.

And this is from someone who is actually able to play regularly, nevermind the people having even more ridiculous problems logging in

Now imagine being on EU where the queues range from 7000-10000+ every day. Combined with 90k errors. *chefs kiss*. Either you log in before 2pm or you ain't playing. If you get disconnected your gameplay for the day is also done.

The queues just keep getting worse and worse. During the first days people would log in, play and log out once they were done allowing more people in.

But as days passed and it became apparent that SE was unable or unwilling to fix the problem, more and more people started using 3rd party programs to bypass the AFK-Logout. And every morning when the queues go down more and more free trial bot accounts sneak in and never log out.

SE needs to start taking decisive actions. Start banning people that bypass the AFK-Logout and assign more people to the special task force to ban bots daily, not every 15 days.

All of these solutions would greatly alleviate the server stress without having to buy new expensive servers which has already been stated not to be an option.

100% agree. put out a notification that if youre suspected of using the bot, you will be banned for "x" amount of days and such. not hard, considering GMs can see how long a player has been inside their personal apartment and such.

publisher =/= devs. YoshiP has been pretty damn transparent in what the cause of these issues are. It cant even be said that players are white knighting for the devs, foolish to claim "cult following" to any degree in this situation. Its literally just people being ignorant of information being put out by the devs.
