Proposal: Revitalized old savage/extreme fights with weekly bonuses

It can be random, like one week have like
Thordan Extreme sync: Reward special token for some crazy good skin or something. Some sort of incentive.
Further, to get extra tokens, you need at minimum two players who have never completed the encounter. I really want to go back and do some of the older content sync'd and I think SE should try to revitalize savage raids/extreme trials the way they incentivize the 24 mans, etc. This should be doable with special tokens for special rewards, Even crazy hair pieces, fashion items, etc. doesn't matter. Mounts. Anything cool. Thoughts?

Isn't this already a thing? Khloe's Wondrous Tales has a lot of old unsynced raids and extremes as part of the list of duties - you get a variety of cosmetic rewards or gold saucer currency from these.

Unreal trials also offer a way to do old extreme trials synced (as originally intended) with similar rewards (the little fox that sits near Khloe deals with the unreal stuff)

The unreal system works well enough, the fights just need to not rotate and be available permanently. Weekly rotating synced savage that will attract people who don't know the mechanics doesn't sound promising. New players will either need to be carried or will very likely fail. I also dislike reward chasing in general, I'd rather do things I like instead of feeling like I have to prioritize chasing a limited time prize.

You can unsync the WT duties ans still get reward

I want a reward for veteran players to take a newbie or two into sync'd old content. This should be in the duty finder for easy access.

weekly rotating synched savage would actually be easier than unreal fights. maybe not on a per fight basis as some may just be harder in general, but balancing wise even if you synch to min itemlevel class and system changes (meaning 90% buffs) just nerf these fights heavily. in fact the reason why they don't keep unreal fights permanently is because they would have to rebalance them every patch, otherwise a few patches down the line the intendet difficulty would again be missed.

imagine if doing old primals unsynched min ilvl would actually give you the genuine experience. if it did there would have never been a need for unreal fights, just slap on some currency for doing it like that and save you all the hassle of rebalancing everything for max level.

I think they've actually tried this, because there are some things like Orchestrion rolls that have notes in the log saying that they supposedly drop more often at minimum iLvl.

Unfortunately the difference doesn't make enough of a difference to be noticeable (particularly versus the hit taken to farming speed at that ilvl, I reckon, too). Makes me think of when they raised the drop rate on Shinryu's dog. Felt like "Drop Rate Up" in a Gacha honestly. Only trial so far I've had to do the full 99 of ...

Sync'd content in general. A sufficient reward to help first timers might be a big help towards alleviating the present situation, which is that the moment anyone gets their first clear on Ex/Savage they tend to completely shut themselves off in PF from anyone who didn't manage to get theirs already. The resultant dilution of PF then makes it less and less fun on everyone who comes afterwards.

5.0's EX trials (especially Titania) were already apparently pretty nasty with how fast PF "diluted" - and that was with it being a realistic option to try and get to endgame as fast as possible. With the present queuing situation with servers, much of the player base will have already missed the boat by the time they even are physically able to complete 6.0 (in fact, it's only day 2 of the general release and I've already noticed a rising number of duty completes on the locked high end duties in PF on Primal where I've started to settle back in - I'm not sure about Aether because my Aether main is on Gilgamesh and feels like it's still a waste of time to try and get on most times of the day).

I'm not sure just what an appropriate but not imbalancing reward would be, though.

yeah tons of ppl rush to endgame because that if u miss the "learning" wave u are out (yeah FC , friends , forming a PF are solutions no doubt) but i dont think in EW thats gonna work with those queues...so i guess the "learning" wave will last more this time
