Yeah but those types of people have only played FFXIV and ignored the other games in the series, therefore have no respect for the franchises' race individuality. Certain types of players are trying (And succeeding) to put pressure on the developers to make this more of a 'dress up' game and force all races and genders into one category and honestly, it's something I'm never going to be in favour for.And yet it's precisely this why a lot of people enjoy the way things work around here for the most part? And why a lot of people despise when things that genuinely look good are locked to certain races/genders for no reason? What you see as "unique" is just an unnecessary limitation. Thankfully the game moves in the direction of removing them.
This made me chuckle.... But also

Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
doubt it, its pretty ridiculous in size but the assets in the game already so i guess its already 80% done but again
doubt it
Basic universal functionality for hairstyles and glamours for all races and genders is more important to people than individual headcanons about what makes a race unique or not. Goodness.
"Dress up" is no different from achievement/title chasing in that it keeps people engaged and when you lock away rewards behind race/gender combos you lose out on people who would have otherwise engaged in the content.
Not only should we get more unique racial hairstyles to compensate for the lack of options with respect to head gear but a UNIQUE hempen set would be nice too as opposed to a Hyur hand me down.
This is not mutually exclusive but then again how many hairstyles and headgear came out for the other races in Shadowbringers and Viera were excluded. Sorry but Viera need some special attention they've gotten nothing in over 2 years to compensate . It remains to be seen what we'll be getting for Endwalker and if those are even available upon release.

Both female and male Viera are getting access to the more popular unlockable hairs and progress on hats is happening. Congratulations. They are now brought up to speed in terms of hairstyles along with the other races unless for whatever reason someone really likes the type-0 hairstyles. I can only wonder why treating Viera and Hrothgar as a package deal caused an innumerable amount of problems when it came to basic customization options.
All races should be getting new things, Viera are not special in this regard. They are obtaining the "compensation" which they are indeed entitled to coming in Endwalker.
Brought up to speed? You haven't even seen what they're getting yet. They will not be brought up to equality by a long shot. Lets all break out the champagne cause they showed us a few hairstyles with nothing in over two years. You have to be joking seriously. Both female and male Viera are getting access to the more popular unlockable hairs and progress on hats is happening. Congratulations. You appear to be getting all upset because someone has requested a couple additional racially unique styles for Viera.

I am truly sorry Viera will not be receiving the 20 filler hairstyles that were lifted from FF Type-0 that the majority of the playerbase does not use and that in order to maximize effiency they will be receiving a selection of paid/unlockable hairstyles that were at the top of the community's list of requests. It's almost as if there was a bigger project going on in the background that demanded more of their attention.
There is nothing wrong with reasonable requests, as I would love to see these hairstyles added for all females at the least, but adding in racially locked hair because lore or somebody's headcanon does not sit well with me at all.

With all due respect & not to get all dramatic but... it's not her hair; A blind man could see that it's not Frans hair
Frans hair is in game- but it's only on the Fran NPC
The only similarity they have is that it's a ponytail on a Viera
Saying Viera already have Frans hair is like saying "I want clouds hair available"
"Row X on human is spikey hair, there that's clouds hair bc it's spikey"
XIV Viera hair

I'd like some Viera inspired hairstyles from XII & other viera lore/ artwork/designs added into XIV- I'd pay just to have them added but we will only get the boring hairstyles added to them (not even Y'sthola's hair was added to Viera as far as we know)- but with the Viera hairstyles also being available to other races as well
