Did you see that one specific guy who spammed /t her before she was able to /busy? By looking at his /t, I say his entire main ID deserved to be banned.

this isnt wow standing ontop of npcs with your mounts doesnt prevent anyone from talking to them all you gotta do is hit numpad0 and it'll click the npc (or item on the ground or whatever it is you need to advance the quest) this is the only way to progress during holiday events
Yes, but you have to know it that Numpad0 will help here. This is not very intuitive because the game will not tell it to you.this isnt wow standing ontop of npcs with your mounts doesnt prevent anyone from talking to them all you gotta do is hit numpad0 and it'll click the npc (or item on the ground or whatever it is you need to advance the quest) this is the only way to progress during holiday events

Game wasn't made to have so many characters on the screen. You could be utilizing next to nothing on your system and the game still shits the bed. Annoying af. I wouldn't stream anything casual in ffxiv.

A new player will not know this. In fact I don't think many would ever figure this out without being blatantly told.this isnt wow standing ontop of npcs with your mounts doesnt prevent anyone from talking to them all you gotta do is hit numpad0 and it'll click the npc (or item on the ground or whatever it is you need to advance the quest) this is the only way to progress during holiday events
Either way I'm sure the GM team will take care of the weirdos, just stinks that the go-to approach for popular people playing the game is 'crowd them, spam /tells and spending hours following them everywhere'.

On the one hand, it sucks that their experience starts out this way. But expect the cool stuff that comes with it to happen to them later, too. You know, people lined up on mounts to celebrate the entrance to ever major milestone.
Elite raiders helping them to clear content they normally would have to practice at for months and months in just a few weeks.
It looks bad and feels bad now, but it's basically just confirmation that they'll have an endless amount of support as they journey onwards.

Yes I am sure this never happens in other mmos when a highly popular streamer starts playing. The XIV is community is so terrible. Happy?
Uh.. no? I had hoped the FFXIV community, especially the JP one who generally is more respectful of other peoples experience (just normal people.. not even streamers) would have given her some space, but this a pretty bad face to present to ANY large public audience. If people who might have enjoyed the game get a bad impression because someone can only show basically gobbue butts all stream, then we lose potential players.
I'm starting to see that you're just looking to dump in this thread, but Pekora in particular is one of the largest female streamers in the world whereas say.. Asmond was more of one of the larger MMO streamers. Why does this matter? Streamers, like it or not, are a big draw for games. They are how a lot of todays young adults and children find new games. They are the new "entertainers" of this generation. I could go into WHY but I'm pretty sure you're just here for negativity and to dismiss. But I'll close in saying that the concern here is that FFXIV being exposed to the larger population this streamer has as a negative experience is something anyone interested in the expansion of FFXIV should dislike.
