How does the demanding work tho?if i have 1 gil each time i hear this.
say HI or do an emote and nothing more for the rest of the run. just show this small human thing.
can be its just this same people starting to DEMAND YOU play faster really fast.
so all the people that say this are you for the most part don't like the game? i don't try to be mean or make fun here. its just how it sounds. waht i get is we rush to make it over faster as we dont want to be an extra sec in this shit.
Or maybe you ever thought that you might be too slow with picking up one mob at the time?
And sorry, but if people simply don't want to type, it's their right.
Where is it stated that they MUST? Let people not respond. If you don't like it, accept that and move on. Why do you think you are owed a response of any kind?
People are not obligated to greet you. Nor are you obligated to greet other people; honestly sometimes people just forget or are farming a certain dungeon for relic progression or glamour farming that they don't notice when someone is typing in chat. Some people do a quick "o/" or "o7" and that's it. Literally, you're not required to respond to other people and vice versa. How is that so hard to understand for you? Do you feel offended when people don't respond? If so, you really need to chill.if i have 1 gil each time i hear this.

And like other people have stated before in previous replies; the playerbase for the most part prefer big and relatively quick pulls. If you don't like it, find like minded people to run dungeons with you, since majority always wins in dungeon situations when it comes to pacing. If a healer pulls an extra pack to bring it to you, fine. If a DPS does it as well, also perfectly fine. You have tank stance, AoE abilities and sprint for a reason. Use it accordingly and adjust for your group. It's really not hard.
The person who doesn't have a main class or character.
This thread is taking a weird turn. Not only should groups slow their pace down, they should also be having full blown conversations? I signed up for a dungeon run, not a social outing with online strangers.
I'll give a greeting, usually 'heya' or 'o/' and say 'gg' and/or 'ty' before leaving but once we take off, the only keys on my keyboard being pressed are my ability keybinds. Every once in a while i'll give brief explanations for a fight if requested but that's about it really.
It feels strange a social game, mmo, that players are not very found of socialize, i like chat with new players too, i tried sometimes, but not always they take conversation further. Sword Art Online may be the perfect MMO simulator that you play solo, I tried too, didn't like it.that is where you are wrong. i start by saying hi or hallow and the ask people how are they. thing is normally i get ignored even by that point and the healer run off. i try to ""force"" people to talk in chat. but if i find my self talk to the walls then i stop.
but when people are willing to be nice and at last say hi/hallow to the party all be well and nice.

I think it is more NA/EU culture? It feels strange a social game, mmo, that players are not very found of socialize, i like chat with new players too, i tried sometimes, but not always they take conversation further. My time in JP dc usually we greet each other and say goodbye after the run. Tank would ask healer if they can handle big pull, and if healer feel the pull too small they usually speak and not just run pass the tank to pull more pack. We also chat when someone on cut scene, make jokes
Now I move to EU dc, it does seem people are less talkative, other than alliance raid I rarely see casual chat. I still see people greet but overall people seem to be in rush, a lot of time players disappear before I could even give a commendation
I talk mostly wen in group of gamers, wen in a group of people that don't play game I'm quiet too, its easier wen the group have same hobby as me. But I'm from brazil, i cant tell for all from Brazil, but in my family culture we make much jokes, like give hugs and socialize, but I have to be honest that I'm not one of most funny. I have more dark sense of humor, not many like this kind of humor. I have relatives that are soo good in timing of joke, that you laugh so much till you get sick of laughing.I think it is more NA/EU culture?

why are you expecting people to have full blown conversations in 15ish minute dungeons? you have limsa, gridania and uldah to socialise, not to mention various RP hubs and FCs
Given this, why would I even want to talk with you? Why would anyone?that is where you are wrong. i start by saying hi or hallow and the ask people how are they. thing is normally i get ignored even by that point and the healer run off. i try to ""force"" people to talk in chat. but if i find my self talk to the walls then i stop.

Regarding op... It's because this game was designed to be like Wow. Had the battle system been designed more like final fantasy 11... This would be a little slower paced. Right now we have a mmo-lite situation
