I only play bard when I want to be spoony or I'm lvling it just to have everything capped... So don't expect me to remember what all my buttons do lol. What is with bards lately? Twice in two days, Qitana Ravel/Malikah's Well, two different bards, and both do the same thing. Single-target with spamming Burst Shot and applying Dots, but no AoEs on packs, no songs, no Battle Voice, no Refulgnant/Empyreal Arrow, manually reapplying DoTs instead of using Iron Jaws... What is going on lately? x.x
Same thing basically goes for MCH as well. I was lvling that while farming Zadnor last night and kept getting picked for duels after finishing CE's XD
Oh boy I ran into one of those tanks who refuses to use AoE regardless of how many mobs there are, or the fact the mobs are eating everyone else.
In Doma Castle, to boot! With a level 75 tank!
Please learn how to play and don't throw baby fits when we wipe consistently because you refuse to take mobs off your healer due to some weird ego trip!!
Thankfully if you annoy toxic casualists enough, they vote kick you and save you the 30 minute wait time. Got Haukke Manor on re-queue with an amazing savage raider PLD who double/triple pulled because even despite our ACN being past the point where they should have swapped to SMN, and our BLM being new, stuff was melting.
I blow a kiss to that tank in particular.
Not really a funny thing but i will post it anyway.
Doing expert roulette as usual and i got that group that was pretty decent overall, good run dps was ok and it went pretty fast.
At the end while i was waiting for the roll on the last item the Scholar started to talk to me with stuff like "omg finally a tank that use CDs i almost had nothing to do, thank you so much dude you're awesome" and i was like in an awkward position where i did not know how to respond to that with another thing than "huh well thanks" and the dude kept talking for like 2-3 min.
Dunno how was his experience with tanks up to this point but damn that was surprising to see someone so happy only because i do the basic stuff.
The whole thing was kinda funny afterall for me and i hope he got good tanks after this run haha.

One of the things in 4 player DF duties when I'm a tank is when the rest of the party dies on a boss and I solo the rest of it until it dies. I always wonder if just going idle to let it kill me too so it resets would have been faster after the duty is finished cause the choice at the time it happened was just not wanting to walk back.
Had a paladin tank who decided to solo the final boss of Amaurot while it was 60 % or so since our healer died. One of the things in 4 player DF duties when I'm a tank is when the rest of the party dies on a boss and I solo the rest of it until it dies. Let's just say it felt like having another dungeon run on top of a boss. Felt longer than some Praetorium cutscenes lol
Yeah, if the boss is almost dead, then go for it, but if there's that much left, you're just dragging it out and boring everyone.
Dear NIN in Antitower - when your healer asks you to use your AoE skills, maybe actually do that instead of proceeding to single target things when we're pulling wall to wall.
To the RDM in that same run: maybe don't go afk after the first boss for the entire duration of the dungeon, without even a "brb".
I know I can carry DPS in that place as a WHM, but that doesn't mean I should have to.
Well the other thought across my mind in those situations as well is whether or not they'd have just ended up wiping out again if we started it over.
I’ve always found it quite entertaining if I ended up in a situation where only one is still standing and fighting a boss. I’ll just happily watch and be cheering you on.
