    see, you're generalising and projecting your own experience onto every player that does it to demonise them, meanwhile in my experience, almost every single DPS that pulled for the tank (aka the tank single pulled in level cap dungeons) brought it back to the tank and we had no issues! imagine that!
    keep pearl clutching about this literal non-issue, I guess, if it makes you happy?

    I literally just run til the wall or cliff stops me. The only thing I hate when I'm tanking is the ONE stupid mob.. you know the one. The one who yeets off to hit that one dps who's out in south island making me panic cause I either yeet myself back to grab it OR I keep going and feel bad if that dps dies. It's happened before. So now I have to make sure I get that ONE guy cause he ALWAYS fucks up my groove.

    As a WAR I already had healers rescuing me because I stopped on the first mobs to put Storm's Eye up XD

    3 GCDs, it's all I ask friends. After that I only stop at a wall or at the exit. o`_´o

    God, Storm's Eye is so awkward. That plus Overpower is why WAR isn't my preferred tank to bring to dungeons.

    Don't worry about that dead dps. You have just provided them a great learning experience: run with the tank or die. Tanks like you who pull properly are the best.

    I honestly stopped bothering getting Storm's eye buff during pulls because the time I spend for that I am already to the next group or the party is sprinting ahead and enemies die. If I am lucky at the end when one enemy is alive I will try to get it but overall it is too awkward. Thank godness EW is going to put the buff on aoe.

    Also applies to Samurai's buffs where you have to spend multiple GCDs but at least I can waste a Meikyo to get 2 buffs going while pulling as a choice (I am not going to bother casting Tekkan while Dragoon cannot even refresh the buff with AoEs...

    So I just have one more tank to go before I have all of my DoW and DoM jobs to 80, birbo mount for me is right around the corner. I pull up the roulette queue and thought 'what could go possibly wrong? Another low-level dungeon run?'

    Holy sh*t I was wrong. I got Holminster Switch with a 3 min in-prog. Alright, I thought, only the 2 dps are within the dungeon level, this shouldn't be so bad. I caught up and apparently their first tank left at the first wall. Not bad, still decent exp though it would've been better to have gotten this at the start. I pop some tank food and continue the pulls. Party comp was DRK WHM BLM MNK. Should be able to pop that lawnmower and mow stuff down, right?

    First thing I noted was our WHM relying on Cure 2/Medica 2/Holy/Lilies/DB, which is fine and dandy, and between their holy spams and my trying to time TBN for MAXIMUM EDGE my health gets pretty low, low enough for me to warrant popping Living Dead. Granted I don't go into Walking Dead when the pull finally died, I didn't hear Flares go off but I heard Fouls being spent. My guess is that they used up Manafont earlier and it hadn't come off cooldown yet, even though you get a trait at 72 to let you swap to umbral with 0 mp...the mnk was unremarkable, but at least they were aoe'ing.

    First boss things go a bit slow, due to a lack of dots from the whm and the blm having to constantly move for mechanics. We have a few close calls, but nothing really worthy to write home about.

    Trash after the first boss went a bit bumpy to the first wall, and the healer was too busy spamming Holy to esuna my Slow from the gremlins, and left me teetering at 25%. 'k. Second pull to the second boss I end up having to pop LD and go into WD, and it was at this point that I see the healer panic Cure 1. Cure 1, Cure 2, panic, Holy, panic run, annnnnd I'm dead because WD didn't get cured. It was at this moment that the next person on the list, the BLM, was next in line to be eat---oh, she already got munched.

    It was also at this moment that I realized the WHM probably didn't realize that Benediction resolves WD, and I decided to look at their search info...and regretted to see that their only class unlocked was their whm...at 80...either a genuine booster that may have had the foresight to read their tooltips or someone who did strictly MSQ and just scarfed down that exp train like hungry college kids getting fresh pizza.

    Naturally after the whm panic-raises me and runs off like my neighbor's kid with candy, I grab back aggro on the remaining mobs and we finish the trash before the second boss. While the BLM had respawned and we were waiting for them to run back, I looked at the WHM's gear, full hq exarchic sans the belt on the left, a mishmash of 78-80 dungeon/allegory accessories on the right. So a possible brand spankin' new 80 whm. I wanted so badly to give them advice, but the last time I tried giving advice to someone, I was told to go suck a dingus. I ended up holding my tongue, much to my chagrin.

    Second boss eventually goes down, though a bit longer than I had expected, but we managed to get to the next sets of trash and naturally the whm goes back to spamming holy, which is fine. Faster stuff dies, the better.

    We finally get to the last boss and I realized about 30 min had already passed on the clock. Oi. Hopefully we can burn Philia down fast, I thought.

    LOL nope. First Left/Right Knockout the WHM eats BOTH OF THEM and dies, along with positional-greeding MNK shortly afterwards. Since Philia was not properly worn down enough, the BLM and I end up wiping despite fighting tooth and nail. They respawn after I was the last one left in the arena, and they were waiting at the gate after I had respawned. I wanted to mark myself with the Danger Dorito, but I realized it was probably futile. And I was right again.

    Death still needs help being a good teacher still. Round 2, the WHM learned about Left/Right Knockout, and we finally make it to the Fierce Beating segment. However instead of staying on the sides where it's totally safe, the WHM goes complete galaxy brain and continues to run IN FRONT OF PHILIA WHERE THE PILLARS WERE POOPING OUT. Needless to say since she didn't bother to heal herself, she died shamefully. Philia was sitting at around 35%, and she does her usual round of mechanics, and I start to get low, and the stack marker comes out, and since the MNK was not trying to even bother recovering his own hp with Bloodbath and Second Wind, he dies in short order.

    Philia was down to 15% at this point, and she starts again with chains with the BLM. I get them out and we continue to desperately burn her down. Eventually the stack marker goes back out, and since the BLM had already spent Manawall on an earlier mechanic, I popped TBN on the BLM but the second I do it gets put on me. Oh. The BLM was dead. I was all by myself again, and Philia was staring me down with what little remained of her hp...

    It was then she finally went into Fierce Beating. I saw my last chance and spammed Bloodspiller, with the MNK and BLM cheering me on in chat.

    Finally that glorious black screen of victory popped and the corpse of the lightwarden was laying before us...and the WHM took that queue to instaleave the dungeon, probably in shame or not wanting to say thanks for the party.

    To the MNK and BLM I had in that party, you two were amazing and awesome for sticking it out. I'd shower you both with comms if I could.

    To the WHM, if you're having issues or need pointers, just f*cking ask. No need to stay silent unless you want to fullfill the exarch gear meme.

    Tank pulled too many until its too much for the tank at Lv49. That fella died and said something in Japanese. The tank isn't geared or did something wrong. His HP drops really fast even with 1 group of mobs. I even tanked a few mobs right next to him. I replied "Don't pull more than 2 groups". He continues to type in Japanese. Gotta love the language barrier.
