also should we add a toggle that replaces whisper-a-go-go and the ffxv car with chocobos or are they rp friendly?

Because this is a video game people play for entertainment and if an option can be added that enhances that entertainment and allows MORE engagement it should be considered.
Because RP is a fantasy thing. I"m well aware you don't understand why or how. You're also taking this from the perspective that I think all changes should somehow NEED to be explained by ingame mechanics or lore. This idea gets broken all the time. The final consideration of any feature should be whether it enhances or improves the experience not whether we can justify why we've never seen child lalafell or not.I'm just confused. Because of how you RP. You think that a option should be added to turn off what your person sees, even if you fully accept that it is part of the lore of the game. I'm trying to understand your side from a RP point, yet everything that I learn about RP says that what you want makes no sense.
We have a UI that isn't explained by anything. We have the capability to stave off the "end of the world" until we get around to it... my desire for this is because I would be able to enjoy my experience more, not because I think they're committing some sort of Lore Faux-pas.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?

Ok so you just want it change because you would get more enjoyment out of it. Alright that is all I need to know. That is perfectly understandable, more so than people saying it breaks immersion.
Well I do see two problems with that, One fashion is a end game statement for most players. Giving players an option to turn off what I spend millions of gil on, devalues glam items for me. Taking away my fun. Also what you want goes against the very nature of what a MMORPG is, when it comes to how players look.
So since this is a game in your words. Your option would do more harm for others than good.
You would not know though, since it is client side only way for it to ruin your fun or devalue your glam is if you operate under the assumption that many people around you will be using the feature. The option itself will not inherently detract from your enjoyment or value of your glam.Ok so you just want it change because you would get more enjoyment out of it. in that case can we have a client side toggle to put EVERYONE in speedos for my enjoyment? You would not know though, since it is client side only way for it to ruin your fun or devalue your glam is if you operate under the assumption that many people around you will be using the feature. It's a consideration. But I've spoken to a LOT of people about this (yes I talk to real people about video game forum drama) and so far none of them even blinked when I proposed it. So while you can definitely vote with your personal "I can't stand to think other people might not see the carefully crafted glamour I made" tick, it remains to be seen whether this is an outlier or even a significant section of the population. Every change to a game has opposition, the value lies in whether it makes it more fun for more people than disappoints. Lots of people liked 1.0 as well.. that didn't work out so great.
The "nature" of an MMORPG is playing games in a themed world with many others online. There's no worldwide accepted need to be perceived as conceived and many games actually HAVE built in options to reduce and change other players impact and appearance on your experience. There's no laws to follow here.
For you.. And noted. I can chalk you up for a vote no.

Would not matter if I know or not. If you have the option. That means I will assume that people do. So I would be like. Ever play a first person shooter? Well, when a game is filled with hackers. Someone who does an amazing shot. You always got this lingering thing in the back of your mind like. Did I just get hacked? Just having that option in the game, will always have that lingering thought of, what is the point of farming for glam if some people not see it.

Yeah I play FPS games, and no personally I rarely have a lingering thought oh whoa were they a hacker. My response is damn I got outplayed let me peep this mans.Would not matter if I know or not. With that said you legit are saying that the mere possibility of people using a toggle to hide your glam will devalue the activity for you? Not going to lie that seems weird to me because the thing is it is already possible so unless you are telling me right now that glam has been devalued for you because of it. I do not see why having more people have access to it would have any further impact.
Overall that is just me, I find some glam to be cringe so I took into my own hands to find a fix. If I get killed by someone and watch them and clearly see they are hacking I just shrug it off and move on to another match. Though once again I get I am generally different, I do not let others determine the value of what I do. If I enjoy something I enjoy, if I like how something looks I wear it, if want to do something I do it. Everyone else be damned.
Why should I care if someone does not want to see me in my frog suit? Why should I care if someone bought a clear for a title I earned? Why should I care if people will initial think I bought a clear for my title because of how common they are?
