I wouldn't mind looking like my character. Our hair and eye colors are different, so I might change that? Or not, who knows.

Outside of the skin tone, my character looks nothing like me (being that she's female) and VERY androgynous. I wouldn't mind one bit though. I've always liked the way elezen women looked if done well.

What worries me is that's a world on the verge of destruction, that is about to collapse... not really attractive where to live in for good.

Considering my current miqo'te...
The tail... the San Goku fix : roll around the hips, under the clothes, there's probably a way to hide it
The ears... a hat, though it remains a fragile quick fix
The skin color starts to be problematic
The switch from male to female...
People around me would start to think it is some Invaders fail

The only advatage : with such a dark skin, hidding in the dark is easier
And... Miqo'te are supposed to be pretty agile

Considering other races...
lalafell have the advantage of the size for "hide and seek"

I'm more worry for Roe's and other tall people

Now, with social networks, we can still live in hidding and earn money pretending we are really really really skillfull in 3D and VFX

I have a counter question. What if you woke up as your character in your real life. No fanta, no way to change back? What do you do? Do you have a tail? Do you tell your friends? What about your job, life, partner? That's more interesting if I'm being honest. What would I do? Well seeing as I'm a miqo'te hiding the ears and tail would be my first try. Like I can explain away the eyes but the ears and tail.... not so much. And I can get around it for a day maybe. The hard part is currently where I live and everything.

If we all woke up as our characters in game there would be a awful lot of us who are homeless. On the other hand if we woke up as our characters in rl we would either be freaks, or celebrities. Or government experiments.

I wonder if I would need a litter box?!

Unless your in an Inn you would wouldn't wake up in your bed you would wake up outside lol

If I had been thrown into this world I dont think I would be happy fighting a Morbol or the "mud" monster just saying
though being 7ft tall with horns is cool can't complain about that
