i think you need to understand that posts like "housing system sucks" or "im quitting ff14 cause of housing" or "housing has caused me series health problems" have become a dime a dozen and are a little bit a joke on the forums. We all know how much getting a house sucks as we have been dealing with it for years. So i would suggest that you try and post with reasonable suggestions instead of mass posting with complaints. I know you're new to the game but this is nothing new to most of us.
Not everyone knows this. Balmung isn't the behemoth it used to be. In fact, new players are sometimes directed there upon character creation. (Source: I created an alt and it wanted to direct me there, talk about shocked.) So let's not assume new players went to Balmung deliberately when they may simply be unaware of the server's overpopulation history.
I call it BalDung for several reasons, no offense to you "Dungers" hehe. I won't even hunt train there. Not everyone knows this. Balmung isn't the behemoth it used to be. "Fanboy is gaming jargon used to describe an individual that has gone beyond the point of being a PC or console game fan and, during online chats or discussions, shifts to defend the program at all costs, unable to take any criticism or acknowledge any shortcomings of the game or gaming console."
I mean, it's Balmung, it used to be a popular server on Aether, then (thankfully) got sent off onto its own corner of the world.
Best we can hope for is that SE lays the groundwork for a housing revamp in Endwalkers... but I'm not going to hold my breath on it and just expect more of the same. We'll see as more live letters get released.
Gil and real money sadly. When you see wards with 4+ houses owned by the same phantom FC, being empty with just the bare minimum, you know what’s the deal. And it isn’t a lack of gil to decorate.Definitely my opinion, but one that is not unfounded. If you were to take a moment to look around some of the wards on multiple servers, you'll find many many houses that are completely bare and undecorated (with the except of a mini-atheryte). I myself have several neighbors this way.
Don’t bother, some players in FFXIV are extremely defensive about their game, as if criticizing the game is criticizing them.
Love the game and all its aspects or be sent in the fire.
You can easily tell this is a bad system, especially after playing other games offering housing in a multiplayer setting.
