Well, I guess people shouldn't expect too much until they can get official confirmations on what's about to come.
Look forward to the event but don't expect what it will have or else people will get disappointed.

Ranaku, Im delighted because I dont HAVE that earlier bear..so this is a bonus for me.
The teams focus is on Endwalker, and I for one am grateful and happy with the event. There is much in store, many adventures await.

Free mount.
I am pleased.

If I coould give my new mount a name? it'd be Paul A Bear![]()

what kind of cheese would you like?
how dare they not give out completely new and different and amazing free stuff. they should have a full dev team and writers coming up with more exciting things all the time. all the devs should work on it!
learn to appreciate what you get for free and your life will be a lot better... trust me.
I'll say that, it's understandable the Devs are struggling to get content for the game out and ready for Endwalker. But I would agree, the "holidays" in FFXIV have become super, super disappointing.
As suggested, perhaps they could bring back story and playable content from past events? I understand that many of those past seasonal event items are available in Mog Station, but... well, I'd argue they'd be better to suck it up and risk losing some of the money there, in order to give active players some truly EXCITING content again. But if nothing else, bring back old items, and maybe recolor them?
My sister, for example, plays FFXIV but since she started, there hasn't been a single Halloween even. She is SUPER bummed about it, because one of the things that got her on-board with FFXIV was me talking about how awesome the Halloween event was (it was always both of our favorite holiday when we were kids). If they can't create new content, rebranding old content would be a pretty great half-measure, especially with the HUGE influx of new players lately. Like, maybe for the "Spooky" outfit, we get an Orange-and-Black-striped version of the clothing, with the all-black remaining exclusive to the OG event or Mog Station. Or the Beholder mount, maybe it's a different color or has a different hat?

Just a reminder, US and EU dev teams are often worked tooth and nail and hammered on more then what we are often lead to believe, and are forced to hide their feelings to ensure their life is all that and a bag of chips.
Now to add in the stricter work structures of JPN working life and the harsher environment gaming companies must present themselves to in a global market in tighten schedules. Most, if not majority of us wouldn't last a single standardized work week in their shoes doing the basics. Especially with the you can't leave until the big boss leaves; so of they pull a 24, to 32 hr shift so do you.
So, as it maybe disappointing in sense, there are many more factors we do not see nor can grasp in each department.
Solo Deaf Player doing solo deaf player things.
