Looks like Bozja to me.
In all seriousness, I would agree that this game's "open world" zones are lacking in many ways. I'm surprised this would be controversial. Except for like, a certain undersea location, the most impressive visuals in XIV for me have all been in dungeons, raids, or cities. Even some ARR areas have felt more impressive and immersive than a lot of the expansion areas. The 6 zones for expansions generally have washed out colors, poor ground textures, lack a feeling of being lived in, and are just big bowls. I think SB was the worst in this regard, with ShB being better overall.
On that note, I see very little in EW to be interested in. Normally I would be really into Thavnair, but what we've seen of the Thavnair leveling area looks really terrible to me for a supposedly tropical setting. It looks like a sparse collection of trees planted alongside a creek which may as well be in Gyr Abania. And then Garlemald will ofc just be a ruined, snowy, dump.
WoW has an art direction and a colorful aesthetic that makes for more memorable and interesting zones. Though I haven't played WoW in many years I can very clearly remember lots of areas from it. I've also seen some areas added to the game since I quit and they were almost enough to draw me back in.
