This is somewhat true and wrong, there multiple types of whistles.
Those which you can obtain once, such as achievement and quests and those of which you can get more.

The once which are obtainable once, are not removeable, because im sure that 99,9% of the players would want to use them, there is no harm in being the 0,01% who does not want them but the game will still say "just use it" and grey out the discard option.

Ah, i didn't realize, though that makes sense.
Ideally I wonder if it wouldn't be better for those 1 of a kind rewards to still he discardable, but added to the Calamity Salvager. Oh well.

This isn't bait, trust me. Rakanishu is my friend in game. He's very serious about this request, even though I think it's kind of ridiculous tbh.

Not an ideal situation, but you could pay the $2 or so for 1 month of an extra retainer, dump the mounts on that retainer, then don't renew it. Boom, you lose access to that retainers inventory, including all the mounts they will now ride into the sunset on.

Once you've accumulated another sizable amount of mount whistles, pay the $2 again and dump them again. Keep in mind, since having the whistle doesn't prevent you from obtaining another (which it totally should), you'll have to be careful to try and not accumulate more. Try leaving your friends' mount farm duties before them, make sure you have "skip previously viewed cutscenes" selected.

It's kind of a bandaid fix, but I think it's the best you could do with the current limitations of the game.

Thank you for offering a solution =)! Honestly if push comes to shove this isn't a terrible idea for me. I am going to try out a solution someone suggested earlier about trying to trade them in around the Doman Restoration area.

Personally... the easiest fix is if SE would just acknowledge my tickets I filed... or even if they straight up removed them from my inventory I wouldn't be hurt in the slightest.

I knew when I made this post it would definitely trigger someone, but I needed to vent. I don't help people mount farm anymore because of the risk of getting one... I honestly don't care how they solve it... I just don't want anymore mounts T_T (personally for me. I want more mounts for everyone else because I know a lot of people like more mounts...lol).

Actually you probably can. There's a lot of game items that won't let you discard them until you use them (master recipe unlocks for example). One you use the unlockable item once, all subsequent of the same item will let you discard them.


As others have said you can put the mounts you want on your favourites, this needs no development time. Use the ones you don't have, then the discard the extras. Job done.

I just don't want the mounts. I know I could use it. and in the past in some cases I have...and I regret. I realize 100% that I am probably in a drastic minority here. I am starting to feel like I am talking in circles at this point since I have responded to posts like this already.
